I agree. He has always been a technically gifted player. His is now a more mature player and performing well regularly should get him in that 23 man squad.

Nevertheless, he will never get this kind of time on the ball in the world cup matches. At best, he's a sub against Spain.

the region north of the aras river was never known as azerbaijan, it had different names including caucasian albania (not to be confused with todays albania) and arran.
still this doesnt change anything that the azeris from the north are iranians aswell and i as an azeri iranian see them as i see other iranians. call them azeris or arranis, they share the same history, language, religion and sect so theyre my people.

without caucasian azerbaijan (baku) you cannot understand iranian history - it is intermingled, is one. so many new ideas,movements and intellectuals came from the area. newer iranian history is not understandable without the area. its a shame azeris from the north dont know shit about iran and dont consider themselves iranians and the same goes with non-azeri iranians that dont consider them iranians. a true shame
