Based on this match masoud does not deserve to start for TM at all.

Well I am not basing my judgement on the miss. Yes, he missed a great chance but that happens. I think based on the entire 90 minutes he was inneffective, gave possession away to often, was way slower than the pace of the game, and was basically bullied out of all 50/50's. He struggled to create any good chances for teammates, had some shitty crosses, and a bunch of unsuccessful, slow dribbling moves. Obviously a fit Dejagah and ghoddos are far ahead of him. He shines in greek league because teams to do not play high pressure, he has time to play at his own slow pace. As soon as pace of the match and intensity go up, he is nullified.

I think you're being harsh on your assessment he wasn't that bad and had a number of good pays and link ups that helped push the team forward. You also aren't putting into context the fact that he just came back from the flu

maybe a bit harsh. I think the team in general had issues getting him in good positions, but overall this wasnt the masoud I am used to seeing in greek league, that has a huge impact on matches. And that due to the higher level, higher intensity, that clearly affected him.

It was just one game, but again Shojaei showed us what we all know. In a high tempo game, or against an opponent that gives no space or presses - he can't do much.

I think he still showed his quality and impact and was just missing some sharpness due to just coming back from illness.

We know that Masoud isn’t as effective when pressed but in most matches team meli is the one that does the pressing.

One bad game doesn’t dispute the fact that Masoud has overall been doing great.

                              Every player has bad games

Just refer to how shit some players were for Arsenal today

Give the guy a break, the majority on this forum are way too harsh towards Masoud. I watched the match and he did fine (apart from the missed sitter), was involved in a lot of quick, one-touch 1-2s with his teammates that led to couple good chances. If he was as bad as some of you guys are stating, he wouldn't have played the full 90!!
