Here's a fantastic article covering the topic for anyone interested:

Give it a few more years of the likes of Man City and PSG making headlines and there will eventually be a revolt from fans. I know Bayern Ultra groups have already started protesting against their club supporting such regimes.

My guess is, it's for more exposure in Saudi Arabia."

Our club has never needed a sugar daddy and we’re rich enough (self made) to be able to break the transfer record when we wish.

No offence but you just sound butthurt because of your Qatari sugar daddies don't have a good human rights record.

Marseille fans are like PSG dirty money blablabla. However they secretly dream to have such for their club and were masturbating whenever they heard about possible rich Saudi investors for their clubs.
Sorry I don't know a fan saying (except some hipsters), "Oh please Qataris, Saudis, etc.. leave my clubs and bring all you money with you, I prefer to see my club with random sh1tty players, playing average and finishing 10th every year".

The whole thing is just so obviously money orientated. These players will be worst off trust me. They just turn up three time a week for training and a bit of footy on the training grounds. Nothing more than that a a few prostitutes and some beer.
Well done la liga for making donkeys of Saudis.

Time and resources wasted on a money venture is something fans are allowed to be mad at.

Yes CR7/Messi/neymar score goals, Al-8-0er doesn't and is garbage. But if the same money is used to hire CR7 or to have 8-0er training in the club, the fans will call it dirty money, human rights etc.. in the second case but will suddenly stay silent in the first case.
