I have no sympathy for him.

Jesus christ, you guys ride this dude like he's Ginuwine.
The funny thing is everyone would have bashed him had he signed with a lower level team... Let the guy do his thing man, he has done so much for us to where he can do what he pleases.

Doesn't matter. He should have focused on his career and not what people think of him. And I have no problem with him doing whatever the hell he wants as long as I don't have to see him in a Team Melli jersey again.

        Lol what?!
What exactly did he do for us?
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

People's tunes have changed quite a bit since I opened my poll asking if Ashkan should be included in the squad or not lol...

            Varzesh3 is reporting

That Dejagah twisted his knee really badly in training that caused torn tendants, so he had surgery and will be sidelined for 2 months

My good friend, if he "twisted" his knee and damaged any of the ACL/MCL/PCL to the point where they are torn, and assuming he got surgery, it being the ACL/MCL he will be out more than 2 months. Most likely 6 months minimum. If he twisted his knee and tore his meniscus, that's an arthroscopy and he should be back 1 to 2 months but meniscus is not a tendon but a cartilage.

I mean here we have the whole forum bashing him for being out of shape, poor guy just landed awkwardly on his knee...

I mean, since CQ has been appointed, he has arguably been our best player on a consistent basis. There is no denying that.

I really don't expect Ashkan to be fit for the World Cup. It's four months away and he needs to be in crazy top shape if he wants to compete against any of the teams in our group. I would take Shojaei or Ghoddos over him in a heartbeat at this point.

Askans style of play is very injury prone. He reminds me of Derrick Rose in some ways. Anyways point is that Ashkan cannot be relied on any further.

No he wasn't. He had 2 great games in his TM career (debut vs qatar and the argentina game @ world cup....a draw and a loss btw). His other TM performances were nothing special to make him our best consistent player tbh.
I'm not saying he was terrible but people here are giving him credit for only being Dejagah.

Rest assured fellas, if he is not a %100 fit CQ will not take him to the WC period.

                            Ashkan Dejagah @Nottingham Hospital | 2018.

This guy is a cash machine : $$$$ in Qatar, chiling before fooling Wolfsburg, $$$ in wolfsburg while playing only few minutes, chilling before fooling Nottingham, $$$$ in Nottingham while playing few minutes.

'It does not look good' for Nottingham Forest's Ashkan Dejagah as Aitor Karanka reveals knee injury

Ashkan Dejagah’s Nottingham Forest career has taken a serious blow before it has even properly begun – with the Iranian international having suffered a knee problem in training.

It remains to be seen how serious the injury is, but the 31-year-old is expected to be missing for at least a month – and it may be for longer than that.

Dejagah has made only one appearance for Forest following his arrival as a free agent in January, ironically against his former club Fulham, where he played during their time in the Premier League.

There is a chance he could still return before the end of the season, but with the attacking midfielder or winger having not played any football this season, following his release by Wolfsburg last summer, he will need to work hard to regain his match sharpness when he does recover.
