This must be a relief for CQ too. He would have had a hard time to include one of the best players without any exercises and games, anyway time to celebrate the Captain's decision

      ahhh ok?

My comment was meant to mean that the saga of him being clubless is over for now. Nothing more, nothing less.

Fyi Morocco has 2 premier league players...many of our top Asian rivals don't even call up Championship level players. If your players aren't performing regularly and consistently at top flight football level in Spain, Germany, England, Italy...and to a lesser degree France..you probably just won't be a factor come WC time. Dejagah to Nottingham won't mean much in Grand scheme of things...even ARJ in Holland is over hyped by TM fans.

I am watching Okazaki of Japan start for Leicester city live right now and I don't see any of our players having this kind of attacking quality at present.

Great news. His new jersey suits him well. I hope in the future maybe before the 2022 World Cup he joins Persepolis since red color jersey suits him really well.

I don't think Ashkan will ever play for an Iranian team. He grew up outside of Iran in Germany it's going to be very challenging for him to take his family there. They probably don't want to!

Would it be more challenging than it was for Zandi?

Probably about the same. I don't think Zandi had any kids though. That's a huge factor. Also Ashkan so far has been a better player than Zandi, if I'm not mistaken he's made millions playing in Qatar and in Germany. Zandi didn't so Fereydoon might have not had a choice to make more money. I don't think money seems to be a factor for Ashkan!

Nott Forest have done some serious transfer business in the past 48 hours. Sent out bunch of trash and brought in a mix of experienced and talented players.

Costel Pantilimon (GK) - Watford (former Man City)
Tobias Figueiredo (CB) - Sporting Lisbon
Jack Colback AKA Ginger Omid Ebrahimi (CM/LB) - Newcastle
                Adlene Guedioura (CM) - Middlesbrough
                Joe Lolley (RW) - Huddersfield
Lee Tomlin (Has had too many pies) (LW/ST) - Cardiff
+ Ashkan, who if he cuts down on the 2sib, can play on a weekly basis in this much strengthened team.

its a 6 month deal in a club 15th in English championship.

It's a good deal for Ashkan. I think he has joined for a small salary just to train with a team and keep fit for the world cup.
I think he will retire after the world cup

Good that he has a team, a 6 month contract is a little mystifying though.

I think the 6 month term isn’t a surprise and I don’t honestly think it is a red flag either. In the club’s perspective it’s risky to bring in a player who has played 2 club matches in the last 1.5-2 years. And by risk obviously I’m not alluding to a financial risk (since they signed him as a free agent) but rather by giving Ashkan a role in the squad over a younger player. Just from taking a look at their winter signings and their current roster it is clear they are putting together a well experienced team to see what kinds of results they can get. If Ashkan performs as they are expecting, there is no reason why they wouldn’t bring him in for another year or two. He will get his chance and he will need to show that he hasn’t lost his step the ball is 100% in his court.

whats interesting is that Dejagah said Aitor Karanka ( Coach ) approached his agent and asked about his availability. So its good that hes a player the coach had an eye on , clearly because he thinks he can make an immediate impact/improvement.

Nottingham Forest is the third most successful English club in European competitions.

                            European Cup/Champions League titles
                            Liverpool - 5
                            Manchester United - 3
                            Nottingham Forest - 2
                            Chelsea - 1
                            Aston Villa - 1

Happy to see AD get the ink on this deal. Solid team, but more importantly, the environment he will practice and play in will prepare him really well for the WC. He is our leader on the pitch, and CQ will definitely take him. I personally still choose Masoud for a starter position in the WC because the guy is a glue with the ball, his dribbling is much better than Dejagah, and has played with the likes of talented spanish players that could serve us well in the Spain/Portugal game. Either way, both must go to Russia

If he doesn't know Ashkan, than he must be extremely dump. Ashkan is not unknown in the European Football - Its not like we are talking about an junior player coming from a village.
