        Why? Because :
        - PL clubs have tomatos in the eyes and don't look beyond the traditional nationalities (specially with iran bad reputation). I guess it is also more diffcult for them to buy an iranian because of work permit (something like that).

        - iranian players don't want to risk their career with PL clubs. Some like JB were right, others like azmoun & Taremi aren't.

        - iranian players generally doesn't suit english football. They better suit Spanish football which is IMO superior to PL. Don't tell me 100% of the PL players are superior to our iranian players.

agree to most all but the first Bold..!
also the 2nd Bold is highly debatable..!
Fully agree that in general our players arent well suited to succeed in EPL and probably the whole country for that matter..!

About the first bold, don't you think JB was right to stay and progress step by step in top eredivisie side (instead of burning his wings in Brighton)? For Azmoun, wasn't it better for him to leave his dad for a better league (instead of riding the bench of a bottom club in Russia)? If he had the will, Azmoun could adapt well in PL. Taremi is a lo$t case..

About the the second bold, Spain trusted all the champions league/europa league since long time ago, while the record of english clubs were all but impressive. That's right the english are doing slightly better recently (they can thank some of their spanish coach/players as well for the progress).

Since 2012 the Premier League has not produced a team that has been mentioned of having a chance at winning the Champions League. Only recently Manchester City is in the discussion and look at the gap between 1st and 2nd

Man City lost in semi finals to Real Madrid 1-0 in 2016
Chelsea lost in semi finals to Athletico 1-3 in 2014
                      Chelsea won in 2012
In total since 2012 the only teams to win are Real Madrid (3), Barcelona (1) and Bayern Munich (1).

ok it seems that i misunderstood you on some of those bolds then ..!

i think Sardar is one of the very few players we got who could cope with the physicality, pace and often tokhmy weather/pitch? conditions of English football..! he alway had and still has the Pedigree to compete at EPL level and his spell in Russia has helped him adapt to physicality and overall tokhmy playing conditions (weather/pitch)..! whether he could cope with the Intense and often ultra nasty and flaky and English fan expectations is still questionable and his current stamina still leaves some to be desired, if he was to be a regular starter for an EPL team..!
ARJ is an Overall maybe..!! has the pace and more importantly the Work Ethic and Positive/Professional attitude to possibly make it in English football but his chances for a successful club career are certainly higher in other formidable European leagues. Taremi may have the physique and possibly the skill level for it but lacks in too many other (many of which that are non-football related) aspects to make it in English football..!!

imo, as a Whole, EPL is a much Tougher League to compete in than other EU leagues including La Liga and and Bundes Liga..!
many reasons for that but mostly because Overall is the Richest League and the talent pool is spread more evenly across most teams and English certainly possess the most competitive Lower Leagues structures to promote/demote players to and from..! Brits are Football Mad and far more passionate about their Team at all levels than elswhere in EU..! When the Fan expectations are so(unrelistically) high, then the pressures on the owners/clubs to show Progress is very Intense, hence patience run thin with player's adaptions periods and gradual processes are most often rushed and generally the competition for game minutes become very Fierce as a result..! combined all that with the overall Depressingly Negative/doom&gloom attitudes of their generally prejudicial people(although they hide their inherent prejudices quiet well under a thick cloud of very Clever Sarcasm), you can see why its so hard for Iranians to break in to that league and even if they did to have successful respectable spell in it..!

Im just saying the competitiveness of EPL teams in the Champions League has dropped in recent years and there haven't been favorites to take it in half a decade. Even with City and Chelsea making it as far as they did people did not think they would win it. Sevilla also defeated Liverpool in the Europa League final. The biggest club in England has been going through a transition after Ferguson left. We haven't heard of English teams being mentioned as best in the world in a while like we used to. Manchester City is the first in a while. I do see why people think the premier league is the toughest league due to competitiveness but people need to remember how dominant Man United, Arsenal, and Liverpool were and how they controlled the league. England is going to experience dominance from City for the next few seasons at least. People only think Spanish football is not up to par because of dominance from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Even Valencia is above the European and World champions in the table right now.

The only team that can compete with the likes of Barcelona, Madrid and Munich is Manchester United and Manchester city. Manchester United when they had a reliable coach destroyed champions league.

That is what I am saying Man United was a dominant force and Arsenal fans believe that Arsene's tactics and style of play is not working well in the modern game. Those rankings are not only based off strength of sides but profits, fan base, global brand, etc. I believe Paris and also Juventus can compete as they have made it two of the last three finals.

I am saying that the strength of Premier League sides have dropped in European competition but it is improving. Being such huge clubs with so much money, fans, and global presence we would expect them to produce more in recent years. Jose is definitely producing growth to Manchester United. Man City has also been great.
