Ali Karimi was and still is famous for being a big criticizer of the corruption. He was never part of the regime and he always was against their selections. Show me were he was part of the system? Please mention with solid proof not just cheap talks. People who were part of the system were like Ali Parvin or Ali Daei. Ali Karimi always got hurt because he spoke against the system.

If you remember 2006 then tell me why he got frustrated. Can't you come up with the news and story behind it. I am sure if you seen the moment you should remember the situation of our team and all drama around it as well. Please don't tell me you just heard something.
PersianLegion Jan, I am already that old that I remember the World cup 1986.
I agree with you, he never was like Daei or Rezazadeh running around and praising IR, but its also not true that he always criticized our football system.
How come, that Javad Nekounam can keep silence and Ali Karimi not. No matter what the reasons have been for his disappointment during WC06, in that moment he put his personal interest over the one of the team.
And he is doing it again.

By the way: I am your countryman. Homa is (or was) just my favorite Iranian football team... :-)

The fight broke in locker room because MR. Proud Ali Daei didn't want to get sub despite being useless. We had tones of good player abroad and in our league who were far better than Ali Daei and younger but they were crossed off the list to keep him on the team. Our national team was literary playing with 10 players in every match in WC 2006. Did you remember that too? Did you remember how popular Ali Daei was in 2006? It seems people have short memory. Most of us were frustrated as hell with stubbornness and selfishness of Ali Daei.
You have to ask Branko about this not me. I asked was it a good time to fight? No it was not! It was in the second half that we lost and that was why.

You know what’s the worst part? CQ always spoke highly of Ali Karimi and even took so many criticism from everyone (Those who are backing AK now) when he appointed AK as his assistant coach. Now he just goes around and stabs him right in the back because he can’t stand the success of team melli.

If Ali Karimi truly cared about Team Melli he would have played for TM when Daie and Ghotbi invited but unfortunately he cares more about himself than TM.

Also I don't see any issue if hypothetically Sebastian was related to CQ. Didn't AK help his brother to become the 2nd goal keeper of Perspolis? I mean Farshid wasn't that great yet he was in PP because of his brother only. Ali Daie works with his brother, same thing with Branko. I don't see what the issue is here?

Truth? You mean the "truth" that CQ is a relative of his assistant? Or the insane idea that CQ broke a "law" that limits his vacations to six weeks a year?

Speaking of truth, how many Karimi lovers outside Iran even know about his relationship with Hedayati, one of the biggest thieves in Iran? How many know Karimi was one of the main lobbyists for the sale of Perspolis to Hedayati?

Speaking of truth, how come Karimi is obsessed with CQ's assistant but doesn't seem to care that Branko brought his brother Zelatko and got him paid from the same budget that pays CQ's staff?

Reading the papers in Iran today, there's a concerted effort by the same sources that have always bashed CQ and propped up Branko to turn this whole thing into a CQ fiasco instead of Karimi versus IFF. A lot of this is about weakening CQ and having him essentially run out of town after the World Cup. The aim has always been to give the national team back to Branko (who is also connected to Hedayati and has openly talked about his "restaurant meetings" with him). Given Karimi's complete silence on everything that involves Branko and his brother it's obvious he's either in on it or approves of it.

People nor the world cup appearance will get hurt, but only the IFF and deserving it too. If someone talks about the money received from the world cup and where it has gone and where will go this time again, then he should be quiet??
CQ has been talking about things like this his entire stay in Iran, but the same geniuses cheering for Karimi
accused him of all kinds of things from racism to profiteering every time he opened his mouth. Where was Karimi when CQ was fighting the same corrupt officials to take back the national team training center? Why was he mute then? He was too busy taking millions from corrupt businessmen and bashing CQ to anyone who would give him an interview.

he is just trying to expose and bring out the truth many of us have no idea about. Is that bad?
Like I said, anyone who thinks Karimi is a "truth teller" hasn't followed his hypocritical track record and doesn't know what kind of thieves he's connected to. A man who does business with Hedayati and counts him as a friend and partner doesn't know what honesty and integrity even means. Being "a legend" doesn't give anyone a pass for spending three years trying to sabotage the only good thing going in our football. Karimi, Azizi and Mayeli Kohan are nothing but selfish opportunists trying to make sure team melli fails with CQ.

This is a big fat lie. Ali Karimi never hate success of NT. Are you guys even ok or on something! He criticized IFF and as soon as a little part is involved CQ, then he is a traitor and hates Iranian NT success?! Wow, your logic is very sound. We should award you as most logical man in forum.

Ali Daei didn't even want to invite Ali Karimi. The two don't even talk to each other till this day. I don't blame him for not playing for Daei. Daei sange rooye yakhesh mikard. Ali Karimi played for Ghotbi. Did you forget? He was in our squad in South Korea. I think you need to shake your memory a little. He was in the team when half of the team came to the field with green wrist band and got roasted by IFF and IR national TV for it. Javad Nekounam, Ali Karimi, Mehdi Mahdavikia a bunch of other showed up with Green wrist bands in solidarity of Iranian green movement.

There you go! What a genius observation This is the logic and intellect you're dealing with when arguing with Karimi fanboys. Well at least you didn't call CQ "dallal e mozambiki" like the other Karimi lovers have been doing all over social media in Iran.

Of course we could always turn this brilliant logic on Karimi himself. Given his obsession with CQ and Daei, is it that he's jealous of their popularity?

Karimi is like a guy who shows up at job interviews having left every other job after starting fights with his employers and coworkers, but if you listen to him it was all because he's too pure and innocent and everyone is too dirty and corrupt This is what you have to believe if you're a Karimi fanboy.

Thank you for getting it. A lot of this fiasco is about setting the stage for taking back the national team in 4 months. The project is to run CQ out of town in disgrace with the fans having turned against him. CQ's main weapon against the establishment was his popularity with the fans, and they've spent the last three years trying to ruin that by recruiting charlatans like Karimi and Azizi who are wildly popular with the gullible fans.

If you look at the papers in Iran right now, all the mercenary "journalists" connected to Branko are bashing CQ hard and declaring him the ultimate villain in this fight. Karimi is in Hedayati's camp, and Branko has joined that camp after coming to Perspolis. This is why Karimi has done a complete U Turn on Branko. He went from calling him every name in the book after the 2006 world cup to now describing him as "the best foreign coach after the revolution"! This is why he says nothing about Branko's brother in Iran or those worthless Ukrainians he brought over and received a commission on their contract. Funny how Karimi the ultimate champion of moral purity doesn't have a problem with any of this yet he's obsessed with CQ's "pesar khande"!

This is like watching aids fight cancer. Two childish personalities clashing. Although the positive is that somebody(even though he's spoiled brat) is finally putting the corrupt IFF on blast.

I just wish this had happened a bit earlier, so CQ wouldn't have an excuse for when his team gives us another sub-par performance while collecting huge sums of money and being treated like a king by the whiteboy-worshipping Iranian public.
