How do you know? We can all say statements w/o facts... Even if he chooses to leave, better for us. We will be ready for the level.

I want to win some silverware.

I don't think we can give up on Asian Cup for some experience in U23 team

It's really not that crazy. They are good enough to be top 4 in Asia consistanley. To be the top Dog is another matter.

Nope. My point was this thread is entirely useless as all information is based on speculation. So me speculating that CQ will leave fits.

Arab Football Confederation has already selected the winner most probably their chosen winner is Saudi Arabia or UAE, as in the past tournaments they will instruct referees to hand red card to our players or not give penalties or rule correct goals as offside.

By all objective measures, we have been the best team in Asia by far for the last few years. Of course somethings are beyond our control such as refereeing decisions but if TM performs like it has for the past few years, we SHOULD win this Asian Cup.

We should have won the 2015 edition (but we got saudied by the ref) but this time around, we are the definite favorites to win the Asian Cup.In my opinion, this TM has the highest chances of winning the Asian Cup than any other previous TM in the last 2 decades.

If they take the world ranking to set the teams, the groups could look this way:

Pot 1: UAE, Iran, Australia, Japan, Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia
Pot 2: China, Uzbekistan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq
Pot 3: Oman, India, Qatar, Vietnam Turkmenistan, Kyrgistan*
Pot 4: Jordan, DPR Korea, Bahrain, Thailand, Yemen*, Myanmar*

                      * Teams are still not qualified, but will most likely, due to standing in the table.

Hardest Group for Iran could be:
Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Thailand (It hurts my eyes watching on this group)

                      Easiest Group for Iran:
                      Iran, Palestine, India, Myanmar

                          Maybe.
But having two Arab teams in the group stage is always like a rusty nail in the eyes.

We are for more than 5 years unbeaten in Asia (regular game after 90 minutes) and the last defeat we had was against Uzbekistan in the WCQ2014. I see even no big deal having 3 Arab teams in the groups. They just will try to fool and trick us. But with three wins there is no space for discussions.

Hardest possible opponents are Uzbekistan and Qatar, but we shouldn't have any trouble getting to the knockout stage

They're actually not that bad.. Unlike other Arab countries, they actually play with gheyrat.
Any gheyrat teams will always be hard to beat
