Azizam, expecting to win differs a lot with hoping to win. You rather mean the latter. Holding the coaches accountable for a loss against a better team, is not only illogical, it's wrong.

CQ has already delivered by making us qualify to the WC again! Two times in a row never happened before. You wanna hold him accountable for what?! For performing for Iran? Why do we always want to shoot ourselves in the foot?

Well don't be too sure about the logic part

Have we improved so much than let's say compared to our teams in early 2000s or have the other Asian teams become weaker. You think that Japan and S Korea are at the same level they were and/or could reach quarter and semi finals of a WC with the teams that they had recently?

We didn't only play against South Korea with CQ! Prior to him, we had always struggled against weaker teams in Asia, like Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Thailand, China and North Korea. Look at our results against them now. You can not say all teams in Asia have become weaker! Since when did we have clean sheets in every game until our last game in the WCQ games? I think we really need to get rid of CQ for some of you to remember what we had under his reign! No wonder Iranians always need to lose to realize the worth of what they had! Az mast ke bar mast!

As I said before with 3 defeats there is no option but fire CQ and his team. The team will need a new direction, new director.
After the WC there is Asian game and nothing after that for long while and defeated Coach especially part-time coach is very bad for Iran.

There will be always die hard CQ fan with arguments, stats, love letters not to mention Ghashi groups who want to make a monument in his name even if he loses 3 games.

Iran did well with U17 and U20 without Involvement of CQ and can do the same with TM without CQ.

For next 4 years Iran need to focus on U21-24 years old generation but unfortunately, IFF does not have a good plan and determination, Their officials have no visions.
In reality, even with 3 defeats and humiliation IFF and Mullas, they want to extend CQ contract and if that can't happen it will be only due to financial restrictions.

He has already delivered dude! He turned us from one of the top teams in Asia who struggled against weaker teams, into the best team in Asia. He made us qualify to the WC 2 times in a row.

Now that we are the best in Asia, some of you guys want to take it over the top by expecting us to beat the best team in Africa. In what world was Asia ever better than Africa to expect a win? Specially with the relatively mediocre friendlies we've been having and mediocre club coaches who don't cooperate with TM by releasing their players. CQ's plans have changed like a million times.

It's not being emotional dude. It's using logic.

Are they going to find a replacement for the Greece match? It was too risky to play both Turkey and Greece in a short time, hope they find a decent opponent! We need at least 2 preparation games ahead of the world cup.
