Everyone saying Spain and Portugal don't care about our tactics are also indirectly saying that their expectation is for Spain and Portgual to come into Russia and run a train on Iran (which could very well be true). But the fact that CQ does NOT think that (wanting to play behind closed doors), indicates that he believes he can pull something off here - at the very least against Portugal. Thus keeping his hand close to his vest.

I've always said, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. If the opposite scenario were to happen and we played Kosovo with full lineup revealed, I am sure a different group of members would be up in arms about how CQ has no respect for Iran and knows we will get wrecked, so he doesn't even have a game plan and will sit 10 players behind the ball.

The FIFA 18 experts said the same thing when CQ had the team play a friendly behind closed doors right before the Qatar match in Doha, only to see that on match day he fielded four strikers in an away match, something no one had guessed before the formation was announced. Just because YOU can't understand why a world class coach does something, doesn't mean it doesn't make sense.

Everyone on the planet knows Messi can score a bunch against weak teams. There are things that are already well known, like having the world's greatest player on your team, then there are changes in tactic and formation that a coach tries to keep secret until match day.

Bottom line is Iranian fans simply don't deserve a world class coach. Just like they didn't deserve a modernizing government before the Mullahs. It's really that simple.

to be honest, Kosovo is not the team which will show morocco or spain or portugal how to break our defense. of course they have a good form and their highlights vs albania and score was impressive, but we could used this match for becoming more match fit, for example Dejagah playing 60, 70 minutes. can he do it? this is important. we would show more our capability not just our defensive problems to whoever analyze us.

What was the reason to fly to turkey for camp spending so much money in their country while we could stay home in iran wallah billah..we had to fly to athens, play that match and fly back, 45 to 60 minutes maximum flight.

Sorry, but with this performance and some bodybuilding in istanbul we will have football combination the same as we saw vs. turkey...

If they can not organize now a friendly for turkey, should try at least for one or two friendlies in russia beside Lithuania..

The only (!!!!!!!!) aspect, which would made sense to play behind closed doors and without tv coverage, would be to inform Ghafouri, Rezaei and Hosseini to come to Turkey (without knowing/informing of the 80 millions in Iran) and inform the team some minutes before they arrive and say to every player khafeh sho else you will be hanged, and play these players vs. Kosovo...of course manipulate the match report by using Khanzadeh, Cheshmi and Hosseini majid as fake players...yes this would make sense...

but if they would be such clever, they better did not inform kosovo, let them come and tell them 2 hours before kick off that no spectators re allowed....this would be smart...or clever...but the only clever people are morroccons as somebody told us..

this is seriously CQ. he's done so much for our football, but as of late he's been making some bad decisions, starting with the exclusion of Hosseini and Ghafouri in favor of Chesmi and Khanzadeh.

after the Turkey game he said that we need more friendlies, so after our Greece friendly gets cancelled, IFF with an almost dead president schedules a friendly with a decent Kosovo side. what does CQ do? calls it off because its not behind closed doors.

what difference is it gonna make? so is he saying the past 8 friendlies this year he was jus screwing around? and now two weeks before the world cup he want to try his real tactics?

we always blame IFF and their corruption, but this is 100% on CQ

I've always praised CQ, but doesn't mean that he can't be wrong at times.

he's been in the wrong this whole camp. yeah it sucks clubs won't release players like in Saudi, but what difference is it gonna make if we're not playing any friendlies.

worst case scenerio all three teams soorakh us, we become the new 8-0ers and saudi advances to round of 16.
