    lets face it, thats probably a dream to. I predict that we will show improvement and win one match ( probably morocco), but will fail to get any points from the next two games. Hope im wrong tho.

      I meant it's our goal in general (in all WCs). Of course in this group it would only be a dream. However you are very optimistic when you say we will probably win against Morocco. The Moroccans have better and more experienced players than us. Their players play in much better teams/leagues. They have less problems in getting international friendlies and their preparation will probably be better than ours despite the good work by CQ and IFF for this WC! In March they will play against Serbia and from some articles I've read, they are working on having a friendly with Argentina. Nothing says that if we prepare the best we can, we would win against them. I actually predict a draw against them at best! I'd be very surprised if we won.

      What I'm hoping for is a good display by TM in this WC! If all our games are like the one we had against Argentina, I'd be very happy even if we lose all of them. That will gain us worldwide respect.

        Morocco has indeed a very good team I say this as an Iranian. I know the Moroccan team well because my wife is from Morocco the capital. The Moroccan team has allot of players in Europe but they are behind us in the FIFA WORLD RANKING and as you remember at WC2014 we played against Nigeria 0:0 and we allmost Win the Argentina game!! We had really needed that penalty it was denieded otherwise that game would be 1:1 and we played very good and everybody was surprised in that game.

        Argentina was at that time 3th of the World!
        As you remember it was not Argentina that attack but Iran!
        I think that if we had draw Argentina we would come and play better against Bosnia!

        Morocco is good but we have the best defence and I hope this time we make it players to watch Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Reza Ghoochannejhad and Ali Karimi, Sardar Azmoun and Ashkan Dejagah. I think Jahanbakhsh is the most important player for us together with Sardar Azmoun.

          Yeah we drew Nigeria but it was also voted as the most boring game of the WC! We were just defending for 90 minutes. That's all. I really hope we wont have a game like that against any of our opponents in this WC. If we can play the way we did against Argentina against all 3 teams, I wouldn't cry if lost the 3 games. I would consider it a successful WC!

            That's the spirit! I think that is how each of us must look at this World Cup. We all know that we are in the toughest group and are going to play classy opponents. We are not weak but we lack the morale, the benefits and facilities that our opponents have had. We also lack the support of the spectators and supporters when compared to other nations. We all know this, therefore having high expectations from our lads or having no confidence in them is absolutely unfair. They will go out there to put up a fight and put us on the map of the football world, paving the way for the future generation of our country. And that is what has been happening in the past 5 years! Look where we were in the last world cup and look where we are now. Our players, our confidence our morale. We need to keep improving there's no compromising in that, but for that to happen, we need the support of our federation, a strong one and more people like Queiroz!

            Team Melli hamishe too ghalbemoone, whether they win or lose!

                  He's referring to the young Ali Karimi of Sepahan.

                      Never can we compare AK8 to Ronaldo.

                      AK8 = God (who got too lazy)
                      Ronaldo = demi god

                        Ditto!

                        He will go into the history books as the best manger Iran has ever had! Especially if we make it out of our group in the World Cup and do better than the last AC 2015. Long Live Carlos Kourosh!
