Gholamreza Rezaei and Mohammadreza Khalatbari were also fast but both were quite one trick ponies.

        Kaabi
        Mahdavikia
        Milad Mohammadi
        Mehrdad Mohammadi
        Gholamreza Rezaei
        Javad Kazemian
        Mehrdad Madanchi

The only one of them who could run fast with the ball was Mahdavikia.

That’s pretty much the “correct” list

I just remember Mahdavikia's goal against USA (WC98). He literally sped out of camera angle before the goal.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

                1) Kaabi(dude was ridiculous)
                2) Mahdavikia
                3)Mohammadi
                4)Khalatbari
                5)One of Madanchi/Kazemian

Although I think Mahdavikia/Mohammadi use their pace the best situationwise.

How fast was Mandanchi? Never really saw him truly play... I think Khalatbari was pretty fast but I've seen faster

Anyways, thanks for the list guys! Really cool stuff!

I couldn't agree more, they called him the magic carpet for a reason. He would get down the wing so quickly and the ball was always glued to his feet, he was so irreplaceable for his frankfurt team and that's one of the biggest reasons he stayed in europe for so long. He's the player I would point to for younger players. Pure professional.

MiMo, Kaabi, and Kia were/are the fastest three players I ever saw for Iran. Kia was different because he was built like a bull and had a physical presence while the other two are on the thin side. Kia was extremely tough for fullbacks and wingbacks to deal with.

Kaebi, Mahdavikia and Khalatbari for sure.

Milad Mohammadi is the fastest today.

and do not forget about Javad Zarincheh!

Not surprised that no one pre November 1997 has been mentioned. Almost as if that's when our soccer started.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.
