How ironic is it that we never get Australia in our group or even in our playoffs? It just amazes me how we have never encountered them ever since they joined Asian football confederation. On the other hand we often get South Korea and even Iraq.

Anyhow we relatively got the easiest group out of all. However in all reality no group should be tough for any Asian football contender (Top 5)

Iraq always play their hearts out when they face us and KSA. Looks as if we’re one of their arch enemies to them...

Makes me laugh at folks scuffing at this competition when the last time we won it, 90% of this forum wasn't even born. You'd think Iran NT has been racking up trophies and glory like Barca/Real to give it a pass.

It reminds me of Tottenham fans scuffing at Europa League last year, going out to Gent, only so they can finish 2nd in the league and semis in FA Cup, for a club that barely wins anything. You see how a giant team like Atletico has been treating the competition this year.

No body remember losers, teams that "just" qualified for the WC only to do jackshit in it....but people will remember Asian Cup winners and winning a game at the WC.

Hate this losers, victim mentality, always excusing our failures in this competition on others, refs, external environment (not to see the refs arne't highly incompetent)...but for fuck's sake. it's finally time to bring the cup home after 40 odd years. We won't have a better chance in a long time, with all Asian teams in such dissary and decline.

My hope and dream is to meet the Saudi soosmars in the semis and to destroy them 3-0

Then meet Australia in the finals and beat them 2-0

Send our Olympic team to get experience. It doesn't worth it to get mad at Arab Football Confederation doing their cheating and bribing. Playing against most Arab teams is just eye sore, they butcher the meaning of fair play and sportsmanship with violence and bed soccer.
