Ali Daie said it all .. if you want to be the champion, you have to beat them all .. .so, it doesn't matter which group you are in, or who you have to face in last 16, quarter, semi, and final ... You should think of them all as serious challenge and take one team at a time. .. With focus and determination and consistency in how the team will be managed after the world cup, UAE 2019 could be Iran's turn once again to bring it home.

We haven't won an Asian cup since before the revolution, why on earth would we write off the tournament? Sure, we get destroyed by referees at an alarming rate but that just gives us even more reason to go into this one with a high motivation for victory.

Because we have been winning it every 4 years, every single edition of Asian Cup, so rightfully some of our dear members are sick and tired of winning it!

After WC, Asian Cup is the most prestigious tournament for any Asian side. One main reason for me is that should we win it, we will represent Asia in the next Confederation Cup. How often do we get a chance to play the winners of each continent, yet get paid for playing them? ( As opposed to paying them millions of dollars for friendlies, and still play a complacent "Powerhouse" who plays just for the $$$$) I mean c'mon folks get real!!!!

with this team and this coach, this may be the best chance we have had to win the cup since 1996. We had a great team then, but very poor coaching. Last time with Carlos we had the coach but not quite the personnel. This time around I feel we finally have both the coach and the players, and most importantly, a team that already has an established identity. A team that has shown to be a tough team to score on, with very capable players like Sardar, Taremi and AJB up front. that's a pretty dangerous combination to have. We are still going to find it very difficult, but for the first time since 1996 I feel we have a real shot at the title. but Carlos must stay for this to work.

Not a fan of Mayeli of course but the 1996 team lost it to referee in semi-final against Saudi not the coaching! Just saying!

We need to win the final game against Iraq at all costs to prevent a tough road to the final.

If we become group winners, we will face the 3rd best team of Group B, E or F. That can be most possibly Qatar, North Korea, Syria and Jordan. While if we become 2nd we will face the Saudi's in the last 16. I don't want to match up against the Saudi's this early in the tournament knowing that the referee will do anything to screw us over...

We haven't won this for over 40 years. It is really time to end this drought and the 2019 edition of the tournament is our best chance ever to win it in my opinion. We have truly ascended in Asia football and the other typical Asian powers have either declined or stayed the same.

This is the most important football tournament in Asian football. Who cares what happens with confederations cup. It shouldn't impact how seriously we take this tournament. Let's end the drought.
