This supposed "preparation" match once again showed the reason why we do NOT have the right to ask for friendlies. Janbe bakhtan nadarim! With this kind of attitude no coach ever can use friendlies to test new players, risk, and try out new tactics without having to worry about the possible pressure, in case things go wrong . The amount of shit storm from the plastic experts just messes up the spirit and confidence of the camp. Look how people are going wild and escalating. Che khabare? Mage Tahdig sookhte? One damn game and people are coming up with new squads, line ups and plans
Next time we play some random weak-ass team think about: WHY. I can fully understand CQ here and I am actually happy that we don't play too many big teams before the World Cup. All these experts won't understand that the results of friendlies mean shit. Those results barely say anything about the real quality of the team. This is not maths FFS - where you can say XY beat folani, but we lost against yaroo, but folani is stronger than yaroo = so we are worse than XY. We all wouldn't be here if football was as boring and predictable like that.
As long as we react like that, never ever make fun of our friendlies again, because that is what we truly deserve. We constantly want to test new players, new formations, new strategies... constantly want strong opponents, challenges... BUT seem to not understand that this requires to FAIL. Because most the times these tryouts will go wrong. That's exactly the purpose after all, to LEARN from those failures. But we...we instead go ravani and bash the shit out of the whole team.
And for those who don't follow the club performances of certain players. Please stop bullshitting saying XY is no TM Material, just based on few games you have seen him with the national team. You can't judge a player potential based on a couple of national team games. You have to follow them for at least half a season to be able to really judge his level, talent, potential... Playing for the national team is much different and many great players sometimes have a hard time to convert their full quality from their club to the national team. At the same time we have others who perform better for the national team than their club. So its complex and thats the beauty of football.
At the end there is nothing more ridiculous than asking why the coach used this player or that tactic in a PREPARATION MATCH. Agha Jaan, someone please tell what is the purpose then?
