One of the wingers, Torabi, Amiri or possibly Gholizadeh, will be dropped, unless Dejagah or Shojaei don't recover in time.

One of Gholizadeh, Khanzadeh or if Ebrahimi/Dejagah/Shojaei don't recover in time, will be cut.

It's gonna be a fitness thing for sure. It's between Shojaei and Dejagah. We already have Ghoddos so we don't need both. Hopefully Dejagah recovers in time because we could really use his ball retention and energy in the midfield at crucial 25-30 minute periods.

We all love Masoud, but honestly TM doesn't need him if Dejagah recover and with addition of Ghoddos, and some creative players in midfielder such as Torabi and Gholinezad.

By the way after all the Hosseini drama in case some dont know, some big names in world football have been left out.. Amongst them until now Moratta, Fabregas, Sergi Roberto, Javi Martinez (all Spain), Nainggolan (Belgium), Götze (Germany), Pastore, Icardi (Argentina).

They both have really good hold up play, are creative, and know how to create for others. We need them to help manage the game, especially the tempo. Not to mention, we need their experience.

                Lmao Gholinezad, it's Gholizadeh.

The team I would start against Morocco with the available players if healthy:

                  -----------------------Biranvand-------------------------
                  Rezaeian-Montazeri-Cheshmi/M. Hosseini-Mohammadi
                  ---------------------Pouraligangi-------------------------
                  -------------------Hajsafi-Dejagah-----------------------
                  Jahanbakhsh--------Azmoun-------------------Ghoddos

I believe that CQ will play Pouraligangi as the CDM in place of Ezatollahi against Morocco. He picked younger versatile players, and I believe that Pouraligangi will be providing defensive cover. I have noticed that he plays great passes forward, as does Montazeri. The only question is who the third piece of the puzzle would be in either Cheshmi or M. Hosseini. Could be Khanzadeh, I think that is the spot up for grabs. Seyed Jalal Hosseini is likely not the speedy CB that CQ wants to pair with Montazeri, who also is not the fastest anymore. I see Hosseini or Khanzadeh starting over Cheshmi, as despite his goal against Uzbekistan has shown himself to be a defensive liability.

For reference, rewatch Cheshmi in the Uzbekistan game and compare with when Ezatolahi entered. Ezatolahi's tactical fouls were light, and smart. Cheshmi was hacking at players and seemed out of control of his body at times. In actual matches, he will be prone to penalties, yellow and red cards.

I think CQ is not playing PAG for that reason. Morocco will prepare for him at CB, and he will be a surprise out of position player that dominates the midfield in Ezatolahi's absence. Hopefully one of the younger CB's steps up in the next 3 weeks.

Knowing CQ and him being so keen on fitness and age factor. I believe it will be a toss out between Dejagah and Shojaei.

great shout. I feel more comfortable with PAG at base of midfield than any of these other players. For that reason it would be a must to have at least one young CB, as we cant play two old Cb's, hence we could only take one of Hosseini/Montazeri as PAG would revert to CB again for Spain and Portugal matches. Therefore, majid hosseini had to be in. still think Roozbeh Cheshmi could have easily been dropped to accommodate Jalal though

Ali Gholizadeh's highlights vs. Uzbekistan. Remember, he was used as a left back - he's a right winger at Saipa (yes, a left footed right winger)

I guess I like that CQ is again thinking of the future and inviting younger players like 22yo Gholizadeh and 21yo Majid Hosseini over more established players with a view to blooding them and giving them experience to star in the future (otherwise we have no players of that age group apart from Sardar and Ezatollahi).

(Having said that, I still want to know what he said when he spoke to Azmoun in 2014...)

Gholizadeh seems to have great speed technique and vision to find passes

It’s always nice to see a player that’s so confident with the ball
