Ghoddos needs to start alongside Jahanbaksh with Azmoun being the lead striker. I think the three of them make a great combination and are the most talented and reliable options we have in our front 1/3rd.

My god so many mistakes though by both teams! If our players don't work on that we will be punished by even Morocco. You cannot make any mistakes at the WC with those top teams. But then again this is something that must be addressed in domestic leagues I suppose day in day out till it is eradicated and our top pro players become flawless footballers.

1. Beiranvand was good again except for one mistake. He will start for us at the WC.
2. Azmoun, JB are guaranteed starters.
3. Hosseini and PAG will start for us at WC but the backup competition is fun to see. Cheshmi, Khanzadeh, Montazeri will battle for two spots.
4. Aghaei has a place on the WC squad. He did good against Mahrez but gassed towards the end.
5. Amiri sucks. I am beginning to think we should keep him off the team.
6. Ghoddos, Torabi need more playing time.
7. Karim spot is in question especially with Kaveh improving.

On paper, talent wise Morocco and Algeria seem similar maybe with a slight advantage in attack for Algeria and a slight advantage for Morocco in defense.

But in reality, we performed better than Algeria for the last 2 years. They went out of the last african cup in the group stage while we went to the 1/4 finals and we qualified in a tough group for the world cup while they didn't.

This is due to the fact that since Renard took office, he built a team based on hard work and commitment and excluded some touble makers like Taraabt while Algeria consistently changed coaches since 2014 and has no clear project, they just assemble fancy players like Mahrez, Brahimi and each one seem to play by himself.
