    Queiroz & the Shojaei Affair

German Media is reporting about Shojaei & his invitation by CQ for the upcoming prep games. It's about a parliament member Mohammad Poukhmokhtar, who criticized CQ for inviting shojaei, although he played against an israeli team.
It seems like that Taj and the sportsminister r going to be summoned by the parliament to answer some questions. Very interesting again how much power CQ has in this system and how he is changing it by forcing them. If Shojaei is going to be expelled by the system a lot of things could happen again on the streets of tehran.

There is little leg for them to stand on given the IR precedent of Minavand paying for Sturm Graz in 2000 against Hapoel Tel Aviv, when he was also starting for Iran.

Anyone can say "why is it one rule for Mehrdad and another for Masoud"?

Interesting. Doesn't seem like anything that can't be sorted out though.

Everything was cleared up before Shojaei was even invited back to TM.
A loudmouth MP farts out of his mouth and of course German press happy to report on it.

CQ ought to show he's not some push-over or subservient, to be dictated to.
In fact even if he doesnt play Shojaei, I still believe he SHOULD take him to the WC to set precedence and to show he is a man of principles.

I personally don't think Shojaei is good enough to still start for TM at the WC. However, I think CQ should include him on the roster just to make a point about this dumb, irrational policy on competing vs Israel.

Earlier this year, our wrestling federation and our wrestlers were punished for deliberately losing to avoid having to face an Israeli wrestler. It was terrible press for IR. This is the best time for CQ to attack this stupid policy. The more this policy is criticized, the more likely that it will have to be changed.

Also, a more recent precedent was set with Hajsafi, same team, same opposition, as Masoud.

                    In CQ I trust ....!
Especially when it comes to such sensitive diplomatic & political issues which seems to Always be mixed in our sports programs..!

In fact, as I've claimed from day one of his TM appointment, his diplomatic sheroudity & his uncanny Organiztional & meticulous preparations skills & his ability to foster discipline are what really makes him unique & nearly irreplaceable for his TM job.

I know, but i thought Hajsafi made a song and dance of an apology or something?
