I'm willing to bet 500 dollars with you or anyone that he won't take them all, with a side bet of 50 dollars that he will only take 1.

I'm just basing this on his philosophy and his previous record for Iran and S Africa

If we need to rate all our strikers, based on all their attributes and skills, I personally would rank them this way.
I'm sure CQ will be doing his own ranking and arrive at his decision to take 3, 4 or even 5 of them (highly unlikely). Most probably 3 will be taken as the original post suggests.

Keeping the wingers aside, I would rank them this way:

      1- Azmoun
      2- Rezaei
      3- RGN
      4- Ansarifard
      5- Taromi

I'm sure all of you would have your own ranking of these 5.

Barring injuries/suspensions, I'm willing to bet $50 that he takes at least two of the names in your poll. Do you have Venmo?

You are 100% right looking at CQ's past WC rosters.

But I do think this team is composed differently than the WC 2014 team and CQ just recently lambasted the fitness, strength and quality of our IPL players. Thus, I feel it's possible he takes all of these players, and possibly use some of them out of position as shahname astutely pointed out, instead of the IPL players he just took a huge dump on.

If you look at the latest 28-man roster posted here, he has to omit 5 names: one GK, two defenders (Khanzadeh/Cheshmi and Aghaei), one midfielder (Gholizadeh), and one forward (Torabi), so it's not out of the realm of possibility. If Askhan is healthy, he would have to omit one more name, and that could be anyone from Karimi, Ebrahimi, Shojaei, or one of the players you mentioned.

Kaveh needs to be rewarded for taking a paycut when leaving Iran for Belgium. AND he is killing it over there. Gucci and/or Ansarifard out. I think that would motivate more players to leave Iran for Europe.

Given he plays Taremi and Ansarifard as part of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1 or else on the wings in a 4-3-3 (and that he has hopefully learned his lesson from 2014 that you need goals to qualify from a WC group stage) I think he will most likely take 2 of these.

An important factor we need to remember is that CQ puts a huge amount of importance on having a settled, tight knit group of players that have trained and played with each other for a long period and under pressurised conditions. It’s hugely important and that’s why he will play the likes of Ansarifard out of position and call up Dejagah when he’s without a club.

This is likely to work against Rezaei. Having said that, given Rezaei offers a different type of threat and has had a superb season at club level there’s a (quite small) possibility he will take all 3.

It's about standing on the RIGHT SIDE, the IRANIAN PEOPLE's side.

yes, in a normal country and circumstances, politics shd not interfere with sports. But in TODAY's Iran, EVERYTHING is connected to politics and it SHOULD BE too, imo.
... Until the day we get a regular system and Iran, at least.
That may be currently the norm in Iran but how will things ever get better if we just continue on the same path and never make an attempt to correct the culture?

A footballer should be judged purely based on his abilities on the pitch and not anything off-the-field (as long as the off-the-field stuff isn't affecting performance or team chemistry).

He is a 25-year-old post-revolution kid who's played football his whole life, probably hasn't got a great education and was likely raised in a religious middle-class (if not poor) family in Bushehr. These types of people exist and are also Iranians just like you and I. We should just accept that and give him a break on meeting our moral codes, and try to judge him strictly based on his performance on the pitch.
