Yeah, I was really rooting for Tajikistan especially. They could have still qualified on the last day had they beat their opponent..... A shame

Useless tournament which really means nothing....think about it if we do really well at WCs and do shit at the AC whos gonna care.
All focus and attention should be on the WC.

We will receive attention and it looks good for the NT. Plus we get money and better sponsorships.

Send bench players and U23 to get experience. Arabian Football Confederation increased total to 24 to ensure all Arab teams play. They already have chosen the winner or they will try and arrange UAE vs Saudi Arabia in the final. They will make sure Iran, China, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Korea and Japan get knocked out at quarterfinals. They probably have Iraq and Australia in semis and ensure one loses to Saudi and other to UAE.

Dude are you serious this tourney means nothing. The rest of the world does not care who wins the AC and it has no prestige whatsoever.
If we want to make the round of 16 we need to focus our players on the WC and WC only.

Exactly, from now on we need to send our u-23 players and let them get experience.

This tournament sucks ass, the winner doesn't even go to the Confederations Cup anymore. Just send the likes of Shariati, Delfi for experience.

I feel like we are only saying this competition means nothing because we haven’t won it in 42 years of trying.

It doesn't matter if you think this competition is prestigious or not. As far as I am concerned, we should send our absolute best team and win this god damn thing and end the 4 decade drought.

Nobody denies the fact that the WC is the most important tournament but we as TM addicts want to see our best players play for the national team as much as possible. International matches are very rare, so what's the point of sending a U23, especially when other teams send their best team?

The point is we get our Olympic team ready for Olympic qualifiers and finally show up at the tournament.

Yes but also consider the reason why he wa on navad in the first place......he was in great form and had all the confidence he’d need to state his desire to play for TM.

I said it before when I saw this subject raised that realistically he will not play for TM. And if he ever wants to play international football and at the very least play in an Asian Cup, India is his only legit chance. We’ll see if he changes his mind on that statement.
