There is no doubt that the overall fitness level is far below the expected level and that something would need to be done quickly but I want to also say that this is perhaps an area that CQ could have done better. He could have planned for this by establishing a better relationship with league coaches and helping them increase the level of fitness as a preparation for world cup starting 2-3 years ago.

      I doubt that webi jan
at club level where you have weekly encounters you can effectively have a bit of mind game but at this level? I doubt it. Maybe He is telling us the truth?

You must be joking! You take a 3rd rate Iranian striker who scored only 7 goals
in 28 matches in IPL last season and he becomes a top 3 scorer in the Belgian league
and you think the Belgian league is better. OK, I laughed.

A minor detail, Ansarifard scored 56 goals for Saipa in 131 games.
          That's 0.43 goals per match.
He did slightly better at Terkator scoring 14 in 28 matches.
          That's 0.5 goals per match.

That's not tearing up anything in my book.

You realize he was only 19-21 years old while he was with Saipa, right?

I consider being the top goal scorer two out of three years tearing it up, if you don't, then you have some high standards

Need to perfect the set pieces... extremely important, specially against big teams. Not going to make it out of the group B without learning to score at least one or two goals from free kicks & corners.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no other World Cup country is shutting their league down just to prepare for the tournament.

Even the ''weaker'' countries like Tunisia, Panama, are still playing league football.

CQ is not being realistic here...

I promise you all that CQ will get his way on this matter

It a complete closure of the league but maybe a half / half deal with the clubs

IFF and Soltani are behind him

I don't know who is doing it yet this time, but leagues do often "shut down" for a bit for the WC. Major League Soccer did it for the United States last time around I recall.

They shut down DURING the World Cup as many players would be away from their club teams. They didn't shut down during preparation for the World Cup.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Personally I don't see why this is such a big issue. In top footballing nations league teams are capable of continuing their league games without a couple of their players. They usually have a good squad. I don't know about Iranian league. But surely they should be ok with a couple of their players out with TM. This is also a good opportunity for those squad players who have always sat on the bench because so and so always starts. They may actually discover they have some undiscovered diamonds there.

I believe Mexico has done it in the past, or made similar accommodations. I am not sure though, but I think they just ended their league really early.
