Dejagah too. Masoud isn't bad either. ARJ can hit them well, as well.

Hope to see him regain his fitness and reach 100%. He is an asset to TM and Esteghlal.
The problem with Pejman is he couldn't handle the physical strength of the opponents.
Al-Rayyan (as a whole) is in no way comparable to the teams we played in the friendlies.

Yes the others play at much more intense pace. But Hamdallah (who hit the post), played today from the start and didnt really trouble pejman. I remember our moroccan member saying he is probably morocco's best forward but wont be called up for WC bc he plays in qatar.

A shout out to Sohrabian as well! He's only 22 and it was only his 4th or 5th match for Esteghlal and he did great.

good win for SS. PP really need to watch out. Not sure when they can get new players in, but they seem to lack quality as a team recently ( especially with Branko refusing to use Mosalman and Resan regularly). PP need a new winger and at least one new central midfielder, maybe an attacking midfielder too. Guys like Pahlevan, Gholizadeh, Torabi, Delfi(all of whom I hope go to europe), abdollahzadeh could all be good options. Amiri, Rabikhah, Ahmadzadeh really dont cut it.

                      Esteghlal advance!

It's now a question of whether they finish first or second.

Ahmadzadeh is a very frustrating player, despite all of his shortcomings, Mosalman is much better option. Haven't really seen anything special from Resan, he doesn't score and he doesn't assist.

Nourallahi and Mosalman must be be in the first team.

resan is a good, technical player. Much better than ahmadzadeh at any rate.

I hope Al Rayyan can knock them out. Seeing that overrated Omar Abdul Rahman aka Side Show Bob would be nice.

Good day for Esteghlal. The end fight was NOT necessary. Next game with Al-Hilal which only has two points. On paper, Esteghlal will top its group.

Persepolis is second in its group. It depends on the last game.

We only need a draw to top the group. However, we should not go into that match playing for a draw.

The good thing is that Al Rayyan can also still advance if they beat Al Ain, plus Rayyan is playing at home.

Al Ain has so far been very lucky with all the pk's they have received, 2 totally wrong ones against Esteghlal and today they got 3 in one half against Al Hilal (don't know whether these ones were correct or not though, but still).

Even though I do not like Al Rayyan, I still hope they beat Al Ain next round and advance instead of them.
