What an opportunity missed by Sohrabian! His open header from close range goes over.

Ebrahimi can’t even handle the pace of this game

Ruined a really good counter opportunity

Outside Beiravand and Amiri, who else is part of TM?

The problem stems with Branko is that if you have seen him coach once, you have seen him coach a 1000 times.

I am not Blue or Red, so I do not care but what Schafer has done with SS has been amazing. We need more of him in our league to raise it's level.

Bad game for Perspolis but the good news is they will have a chance to win the group against Al Saad in Azadi

                FYI, 2-1 Al Ain

Persepolis tied the game. It had a chance to win but it is good that it did not lose. All depends on the last game to top its group.

Esteghlal is ahead but missed several good chances to score more goals.

If Esteghlal win this game, they are assured of going to next round.

                        That is astonishing.

As I have said in the political thread, despite appearances, UAE runs Saudi Arabia and are more ambitious. This geopolitical push has extended into football.

For once, I am rooting hard for Al Hilal to at least get a draw

                            Hosseini is usually a starter.
Kamyabinia, Alipour, Ansari and Mahini also all have been called up recently meaning they're on the list of potential invites.

Esteghlal has recently been playing better than all other Iranian clubs. Not sure why you felt the urge to compare Esteghlal's performance to Perspolis'. Honestly this sounded more like a korkori gesture than just stating facts.
