Iranian TV censors Italian football badge

Eagle-eyed viewers have noticed that Iranian state television censored the logo of an Italian football club during its coverage of UEFA Champions League football.

While AS Roma were being roundly beaten by FC Barcelona in the competition's quarter-finals last night, people watching Iran TV's third channel noticed that producers had blurred out a female wolf's teats on the club badge.

The team from the Italian capital's logo is the image from ancient myth of Rome's twin founders Romulus and Remus being suckled by the Capitoline Wolf.

However, that appeared to be too much for bosses at Iran's Voice and Vision organisation, and the club's badge appeared on screen with the nipples clearly blurred.

The move was greeted with taunts and mockery on social media.

"In 3,000 years, Remus and Romulus were only deprived of their mother's milk, but Iran's state broadcaster deprived them of even a wolf's milk," Denmark-based Iranian sports journalists Mehdi Rostampour wrote on his Telegram channel.

"People could have been provoked by the wolf's breasts!" said one Twitter user, while another mocked the producers' prudishness by claiming "We could have touched ourselves".

However, one user expressed their lack of surprise: "They're so meticulous."

I feel so bad for the entire Iranian population. For an intelligent, respected race, this is a flat out slap to the face.
It's scary to believe how backwards and behind some people in our country are.

Let´s face it, our country is run by a bunch of uneducated and absolute sick apes. And their minds are sick and dirty as they are.
I know many are still very young and can´t remember the times under Khomeini. What do you expect when the founder of the Islamic Republic is sick by himself. Just read some passages of his books.

In one he says that when during an earthquake you should fall on your aunt and she should get pregnant in this moment (WTF!!!!), the baby is not haram.
In another passage he describes that petting of a Baby (and he is really talking about an infant) is correct, as long as it doesn´t come to a penetration.
And this is the result: We censor a drawn Wolf-nipple, as people could start touching themselves, when they see this. Just sick. But this is the reality we have to face.

The unfortunate thing is that trickles down to TM, IPL, and Iranian football as a whole.
You'd be surprised how crucial that is for our football. The corruption from these monsters leads to corruption in IFF which leads to lack of infrastructure, quality camps/friendlies.
Money being stolen everywhere, contacts not being paid fully..
