It has nothing to do with politics at all , on that date TM would have been without like 10 of thier main Perspolis and
Esteghlal players because of the ACL playoff games.
That is why CQ decided to cancel it and there will not be another team replacement.
IFF tried to postpone or change those playoff matches but it was not allowed or accepted by AFC

There is a ten day gap between the Uzbekistan friendly on May 18th in Tehran to the Turkey match on May 28th. While I wonder if we can play one of the nearby countries to Turkey during this period (Serbia is perfect!), perhaps a more realistic option might be to reschedule the Libyan match that was cancelled from last month. Although they're not a very good team, they play similar to Morocco and will be useful...and most vitally, appear to be a team we're able to get to play us.

Wasn't Australia just hammered in a friendly by half a dozen goals ? What's so good about Australia? I think we lack top notch friendlies bro with likes of Brazil and Argentina or Germany. I think Taj was talking with Brazil. I hope that comes to a real bargain.

[CANCELLED] Iran vs Syria

The friendly match between Iranian and Syria national teams was canceled due to a lack of players and the presence of a number of players in the AFC Champions League, according to the AFC's official site.
The meeting was scheduled to be held on April 21 with the presence of domestic players.
The national team will face the national team of Uzbekistan on May 29.

I inferred you were sarcastically referencing the idea that TM is screwed for not being able to have such a "quality" friendly against soorieh and thus we will need help from god. My interference was reasonable in this context. Correct?
