Can CQ really make a difference in 40 days on 10-15 Iranian league players?

I think this is absolutely possible to bring these players back and train them to run like horses and improve their reaction times and playing under pressure. Who else agrees?

No, it's just an excuse for him to explain potential bad defeats

Given the best facilities, equipment and environment, it's very possible. Queiroz knows our players inside-out. He knows where they are physically and what they should be at for the world cup. Luckily, the majority of our players in the world cup squad will be foreign players. About a 60-40% split of foreign based to domestic based. That 40% will be our leagues best players. I'm sure they will do everything they can do be ready. But if they aren't ready, they simply shouldn't be called up and that's the end of it.

CQ wants to do what Ivic did in 1998 in Boroujerd Camp. That was the main reason for our best WC performance ever.

Even if we need the stop the whole league, we should do it. We are not Spain or Portugal! I don't give a damn about Asian competitions which are controlled by the corrupt Arab football confederation and have no gain whatsoever for our football!

Special task needs special measures to take and this is the time we need to take the brave step forward.

Ivic did it in 98 with much older players.
Its absolutely possible in terms of physical conditioning and tactics.
It doesn't mean our players are going to be Messi or Ronaldo, rather they're going to be in the best shape they can be.

            We can't.
Football doesn't work that way anymore. In 98 Persepolis withdrew from the league due to their international commitments.
As much as I think CQ is right about the physical condition of the domestic players - you can't expect the same clubs which pay these players to let them do whatever they want and leave the club.

Knowing that it's obvious our TM coach is simply making an excuse. He already knew he won't get these players.

You just answered my question. I don't blame him for doing this however.

Ivic did it and we would have easily advanced from our group if it wasn't for that stupid decision after a meaningless friendly.

CQ himself also did it in 2014, remember those black vests he made the players wear to measure their activity and we saw how much their running per game increased after the camp.

U don't have to stop the league for that. We r talking about 15-20players.

Many other countries with leagues/competitive matches that run into the summer stop the league. USA usually does (when they qualify), Sweden does, etc. We can be lazy and say "oh everything is okay", but if we get knocked out first round without a single win, then you will also have to take responsibility for not giving 100% to World Cup prep the way other countries do.

Yeah u r right. But isn't it enough to take the team melli players out of the league, so that everybody can be happy?

It is not an easy job to get those 15 players ready for the WC in 35 days and I think it is not enough to make a significant difference.

I believe the logical and sientific wisdom says that Physicaly and mentaly CQ needs at least 90 days of around the clocktrainings

to get those guys in such good shape in par with top European league players.

I just don't think 40 days is enough for that but I hope I am wrong tho.

40 days is about 6 weeks. I dont think any teams in our group will have that long of a camp so yes I think it will make a difference. Also you should take into account, only about 3-4 players in our xi play in PGPL. One is our GK, so that doesnt matter. Basically CQ needs to prepare those guys, plus 2-3 others who might play off the bench, and yes I think that is possible. A six week long training camp will really allow players to gel in a way we dont see in normal international breaks.

40 days is hell of a long time. I had a shy, nerdy, beta af friend who went to Italy for 14 days and came back more confident and alpha then anyone I have ever known. From that observation I can tell you anything is possible (and you are more than doubling the time).
