U23- Games of the XXXII Olympiad

Here we go again and our last chance to at least play one game right and play decent football against the weakest team of the group.

But "My eyes don't drink water" LOL but what can we do, we all love our TM and we have seen this failure times and times again but are back to watch and support them. This is the last olympic for football so hope they can do something nice for their final appearance in such a great tournament.

To spot and state that is easy, answering the question with whom they would have done better instead is the tough part.

You don't chose a losers and expect them to win.

From the day Estili was selected to be in Charge of U23, We were doomed and checked this thread to see i pointed that out then.
Although Kranjcar was selected as a coach , Estili was partner specially in selection of players and have own parallel network and relation with players. When IFF was unable to pay Kranjcar and his unethical decision(joint decision with Estili) to intentionally losing to Myanmar to avoid Korea game was exposed he was let go. Estili wasted long valuable time to hire a new coach, then decided on Majidi who was not much familiar with youth program in Iran . Estili's interference with Majidi created a conflict. Just like before Estili had behind the scene parallel network with players that forced Majidi to resign.

Estili wanted to be the coach from the start but was unable to do that until there was no time to hire better coach and himself became alternative.
Estili to force Majidi out used his relation(manipulation) with players to publically criticize Majidi and support Estili . He is doing the same now after a defeat, using players to publically support Estili .

Estili's intention was not to have a strong coach who won't allow his interference in coaching and manipulation of players. No good Iranian coach will accept to work under such condition with Estili, that is why all Iranian coach rejected the Job if Estili is in Charge.

Estili and Peyrovani as football coach are losers and nothing to offer. Even Tartar is much more qualify that these two.Tartar with Average players has not lost a single game this season , created reasonable defense line, he has done reasonable job wherever he has coached . Tartar more than once showed his interest to coach U23 but Estili did not give him that chance.
Estili got the job not base on qualification but especial relation with Sport ministry.

Since decision was to select Iranian coach, Tartar, Mohajeri were much more qualified than these two worthless in Charge.

Let this be a lesson to all young players that sometimes a simple tap in has far more glory & fan adulation (& possible trophies) than thunderous missiles that usually end up outside the stadium

But I still think it’s possible for Korea to beat the Uzbeks 2-0 and us beating China 2-0 shouldn’t be much of a stretch either but this result would have us through as second and then I can see this team beating either Vietnam or Jordan

Off course such things are POSSIBLE.
But probable?
Not so much.

We can hope for a 1-0 Korean win.
And try reallllyyyyy haarrrddd to win 3-0.
But that means we start scoring very early into the game.
Coz with these lads, the longer it takes to score, the more stressed & error prone they'll become

Good to see reza shekri not plying and playing omid attacking but to be honest we should have this line against Korea I think we will win but does Korea want to best Uzbekistan is the question. If I was Korea I would have beaten Uzbekistan because they are much better than Iran but we don’t know how Korea will want to play

I think Estili realized Noorafkan is not his savior at CB. He was one of our worse player last time.

Mehdikani as DM has been wrong choice for past two games, let's hope he deliver today.

China will come to win to save some face so they will play open. I hope we take advantage of our chances. The big problem is that we Iranians are always late to perform. I hope the gheyrat of our players wake up and make our people a happy this time again after a long long time. They could save some face too at least even if we don't qualify. But we have a lot to talk about after this.
