The team and coaching staff did their best but as I said before the team had a severe shortage of quality players in it's ranks .. you can't really do hell of a lot with a team like that. Unless there is serious investment in youth development programs, no one should expect miracles. Miracles don't happen in football.

Well said. I also believe that the team which was selected wasn't the best one. There were younger players with less experience who could fill in the shortcoming of this team.

This outcome was very much predictable. Compared to what has transpired in the country in the last week, this is now the least to be sad about. I disagree that this was a talent issue. The capacity of the coaching staff was limited and the lack on concentration in finishing was just one symptom of the inexperienced coaches (for this level).

Estili sucks but we have lots of overrated players as well, you can't teach someone how to score in empty net.

U23 Iran failed to advance to playoff stage despite two years preparation and several good players including TM players.
Only a month ago after Qatar training camp Estili and his assistant said they had the best preparation ,training and are ready for the games to start. As expected after failure Estili claims he had no sufficient time with his players. Coward as he is once again manipulate players to go public defending him parroting it was not fault of Estili.

He was unqualified coach who does not understand modern football and coaching and even few more months with players would not have changed much. He was a political appointee who got the job with connections and conspired to deny coaching job to more qualified coach.

While as expected few of his colleague in technical committee and journalists will defend him but there are others who are not blind to this process and has no reservation blaming it where it belong.

ما باختیم که رویاهای مان نه از سر انتخاب که به حکم اجبار گره خورده بود به آنچه تو برای خود مقدر کرده بودی. تو ، مهدی تاج و آن دوست عزیز مشترک تان که فکر می کرد حالا پس از ۴ سال خانه نشینی تو باید از غار تنهایی ات درآیی .

آمدی اما خودت هم از روز اول می دانستی کسی پس از آخرین تجربه مربی گری ات نمی پذیرد که مرد اول نیمکت باشی.پس چه عجیب که فرمول آمدنت شد همان فرمول سوخته رفتنت روی نیمکت پرسپولیس

.و چه عجیب که اگرچه ته قصه را یکبار دیده بودی ، باز خودت را همان شکلی تحمیل رویاهامان کردی.مهدی تاج که امیدهای مان را بچه سر راهی می دانست درست همان راهی را رفت که ۴ سال قبل از او ، استادش علی کفاشیان رفته بود.

تیمی که خدماتش برون سپاری شده بود و الگو باز همان نقشه کرانچار و سپس گزینه پشت پرده بود.بیا و منصف باشیم. ببین چه کردی با رویاهای مان . از بازی های آسیایی و آن فاجعه جدول خوانی ات. از بازی های انتخابی تهران و آن شاهکار بازی با عراق. شاهکار حذف کرانچار و بعد نمایش آوردن فرهاد مجیدی و در نهایت این خودت و این فرجام ما.خودت مردانه بگو چطور توانستی برای نیمکتی که سکوی پرتاب مجددش می دانستی، حقت می دانستی برایش برنامه داشتی، اینگونه با رویای مان بازی کنی.

آری امروز می ایستی و می گویی ۴۴ سال نرفتیم، ۴ سال هم رویش!باشد اصلا حق با تو ! هیچ وقت نرفتیم و من هم مثل تو شنیده ام حرف های مسئولی که گفته بود این تیم هیچ چیز نمی شود ، بگذارید هر کاری دوست دارند بکنند پس تیم بلاصاحب در دو دو تا ، چهار تا کردن هایت ارزش چنین قماری را داشته.درکت می کنم.

خوب می دانی ما مردمان فراموشکاری هستیم و اصلا بعید نیست ۴ سال بعد دوباره در بزنگاهی دیگر سر بر آوری و از جایی دیگر طلوع کنی و باز شاید داغی بر دل مان بگذاری!ما عادت داریم. اگر نداشتیم باید می پرسیدیم مگر در روز بازی ایران و آمریکا چند پیراهن به تن کرده بودی ؟
