Golizadeh is a nice asset, and Gafouri makes for a good right back at this pace. Beiro should still be the #1 keeper, no doubt about that. Cheshmi is still bad, one game does not justify for the other shitty ones he had

Overall clearly a lot of work to do, not great team chemistry, not a lot of direction and this is against weak opposition. That said, once again, its important to remember this game is intended to build chemistry and try new ideas. The players have only been back together for a few days. Some thoughts on the individuals:
Gholizadeh - nice hustle coming down the left side, brings the ball up and has had some good passes. A nice one-two with Taremi in the box where Gholizadeh did his best to get off a shot with defenders closing in. The kid needs a bit more muscle on him, but this has been a good performance on the left side.
Cheshmi - great header for the goal, it has to be said. And he's had a few nice moments moving forward, oddly enough. But when on defense there have been a few stupid fouls to allow dangerous set pieces for the opposition. The player has value, but he comes with risk.
Ansarifard - I appreciate that he's being played out of position in the midfield, but Karim looks so lost. Terrible passes, aimless positioning, and he doesn't seem that he is comfortable on our half of the pitch. Looks decent going forward still, had a nice header.
Haj Safi - The midfield general? Organizing the team the best he can -- we'd be a disaster without him! Good hustle (although you can see how slow he is), great passing, good defense. Has created opportunities with his crosses and passes in the final third. Also cleans up the midfield and does a good job linking up with his defenders.
Taremi - hasn't had many touches, but when he has they have resulted in dangerous runs and passes. Looks good on the ball, but needs to be more involved. Is just waiting to get or assist a goal.
Torabi - very similar to Taremi, but not quite as dangerous. Has had some runs, brought the ball forward. But I'm not seeing the explosion, I'm not seeing a player that makes Team Melli dangerous. We need his PGL form to show. Also, has crumpled at a few challenges. Should play stronger.
Gucci - Come on Reza! Did you even take a meaningful touch the entire first half?! Totally a non-factor and disappeared. This could really hurt his chances of being included in the squad.
I'm interested to see who comes on second half, but would also like to see Abezadeh tested in goal by the Uzbeks.

I’m very happy to see Hosseini and Gholizadeh. Two gems that will be welcome additions to the squad. I been saying that Gucci sucks and people like Eshan Singapore been obsessed with him even though he is half the player he was 4 years ago. If he makes it ahead of Ansarifard and Rezaei then that’s criminal to be honest.

Gucci is just not good enough to affect the game anywhere besides 6 yard box, and we rarely even get the ball there so why should he be in the list. Torabi isnt smart in posession and often just drops his head down and goes into nowhere. Cheshmi scored a nice header but is just way too slow to play in midfield, and way too retarded to play in defense.
Impressive : Gholizadeh - This kid is playing only his second TM game, in a totally alien left back role, and has affected the game more than any player. He has done really well to dribble and take on at the right times, has great speed, crossing, etc. He wont be playing LB ever during a real match, but he has more than shown the defensive awareness, awareness in possession, and technical quality to prove he can play for TM on either wing
Majid Hosseini - Calm, physical, good on the ball. Easily better than Cheshmi, Khanzadeh, Ansari. He should be taken along with Montazeri and backup to PAG-Hosseini duo
Hajsafi - very good. Only player who can switch play and dictate tempo in the absence of saeid and dejagah.
Also, thats a 45 minutes that none of us are ever getting back.

Playing against Uzbekistan U23 for one half is not a good measuring tool. If he can show the same quality against Turkey and Greece, then I agree.
