(sorta like Haghighi did for WC 14, he was a similar sorta of a MFdr/footballer)
how old is this guy anyways..? if he spend a couple of seasons in Europe he could develop into a good MFdr for us, if not already aged out..?
Cheshmi to me lacks footballing IQ and makes too many stupid challenges that can be costly at a World Cup stage. I don't feel secure with him at all, he doesn't seem to be able to read the game which is a very important aspect of being a defensive midfielder. Any technical forward will outclass Cheshmi.

i dont agree, his game IQ is actually not bad at all..!! his execution (especially defensively) leaves some to be desired but he often has the right ideas ..!!
i think what makes him look bad is the "square peg round hole" situation trying to fit in CQ's system of play..!
he probably doesnt have the Class yet to compete at WC levels but shows the potential for it to me.

Y’all need to relax lol. Morocco beat this same team 2-0. It’s just a warmup

It's not about the result. It's about the performance. Poor performance, unable to pass the ball more four times. Some of those players could'nt stop the ball without giving it away. You do that against spain, you will be punished bad. I just hope they can sustain physically for three consecutive games.

On the other note, I'm just dying to see one TM game, only one, that they can pass nicely without getting a headache.

There is an absolute 0 chance that the lineup that played today would play in the World Cup so again, it really doesn’t matter. It was to see how some individuals looked and to work on fitness.

again you are missing the point. we did not play with our C team, this was A team and half of those players will be playing in WC. now you wanna be in denial, that's up to you. I"m just hoping they can perform better in WC.

But today's performance was no short of anyone's Sunday league, walking pace from national team players? I can say only Golizadeh played on and off the ball to open up space. Torabi just used his jets but he needs to find his brain and play and the ball sooner.
I can't believe some of these players are considered WC level. I hope we learned what we needed today and see a WC level game form Turkey and Greece.
Turkey and Greece are average at best. I'm part Turkish and our NT is trash atm. We had a terrible WCQ campaign.

We (Egypt) lost 0-1 to Greece recently with a bunch of fringe players that won't even make the final 23 going to Russia. 3-4 of those players made their debuts and will probably not earn another cap. Greece played majority of their first team and we still should have won considering we missed 3 pathetic 1v1s with the keeper.

Make sure you lot prepare well for Morocco. They're easily better than both Greece and Turkey.

Guys, how did Abedzadeh do today? Ah and he put Hosseini in the 2nd right?

Exactly. With the exception of Gholizadeh and Ansarifard who played the entire game, I think the rest of those players that played the entire game are on the bubble. Honestly unless Gucci does something amazing soon, I think he'll be cut.

I would say Hajsafi and Taremi are definitely on the team

that was not our A team ...... this game was to determine who gets cut. Plain and simple.
