Out of all of our strikers playing in European leagues, only Gucci struggled scoring goals even in practically defenseless Eredivisie league! JB a right winger scored more than twice of Gucci, a forward, in the same league! For me this is the ranking of our current forwards
1. Azmoun
2. Kaveh Rezai
3. Taremi
4. Karim Ansarifard
- Ali Alipour

5. Gucci
If yes, then it makes sense with the players playing today. As another member said, this was for CQ to see who shall NOT go to Russia. And the best team will be played against Turkey and Greece to fine tune the chemistry.
But lets forget what I just said and focus on the answer (): Will the final squad be announced tomorrow?

Don't get me wrong I love gucci but we have one forward to many now and something has got to give. CQ seems to love Ansarifard as well, I remember vs Togo when he wasn't even starting for Olympiacos he still played Karim and everyone on here was bashing him... he ended up getting 2 goals. Also I think karim can play defensively as it isn't really Gucci's role.
Yes it will be announced tomorrow according to what King Q said himself.

Fact is we have to do something about our defensive midfield or we will go down in the wc.
It seems like Ando was injured for so long that people have forgotten that he had been constantly among our top 3 MVP's for about a decade, and he still has it.
This season he made it out of injury just in time to sign with gostaresh on the last day of the transfer window. The first half of the season he spent to get in shape again, the second half he became the old step by step leading his team out of relegation.
Out of our 2 DM's at least one has to be of the defending kind. Ezatollahi misses Morocco and even he is more the playmaking kind rather than a defender. This pretty much leaves Ando as the only option we have in our whole country. We have to go into the game vs. Morocco to win and no to survive.
Additionally with Ando he is not going to need time to adjust himself to the team. Heck, he is still our no. 1 captain. Our other captains, Shojaei, Dejagah, Montazeri, are either too injury prone or not even sure starters.
Also he is not like other domestic players, who need extra training to keep up with international pace. He has his personal fitness regime on European standards and he always was our most disciplined player.
The more I think about him, the more his invitation appears like a no-brainer.
About Ansari I believe he was already certain for the wc. He can play both CD and LB which would open an extra spot on the team. He was already tested out in the qualification run. Against Korea he showed that he holds up under pressure.

People should also remember, we played very well against the likes of Venezuela, Panama, Algeria, Russia, Montenegro, South Korea. These are good, WC level teams. That was all with our first team, quick incisive passing, solid defending, creating many chances. Its obvious that when we play some random players in a random formation subbing every 20 minutes that we will see a disjointed performance, especially after just one full training session together

In the meantime CQ had been building our bench, and he did so masterfully, as we now have a very broad squad and strong competition in every position. Now serious business starts and we have to turn our starting 11 into an all out powerful team with no weaknesses.
What was shown vs. Russia was that we are pretty much set in defense, but in offense we were extremely hasty, lost the ball easily, wasted our attacks and simply didnt play them out properly. That has to improve, our leading players have to train together, play with each other and get accustomed and test themselves against strong opponents in order to be ready for Morocco.

Overall very weak performance from a team playing againt Omid team of Uzbekistan.
If Uzbeks had more experience they could have caused us a loss of 1-3.
I know our players were trying to avoid injuries but with fast runs and fast passes they could have avoided physical contacts to avoid injuries.
Nekou's position is definitely blank. we should even choose Hadadifar over some of these kids who are hoping to fill the position
Hajsafi needs to stop taking those free kicks. He is neither Nekou nor Beckham. I said it before again and again. Frankly even I can shoot better than him.
Even Rahmati would be better than Abedzadeh so that position must now be clear to CQ.
Although Azmoon and JB did not play we knkw now what a great difference they can make. The team needs to practice shooting. If you cannot dribble like the spaniards to get clost to the goal then you'd better be good in shooting from 20-30 meters.

After reading Schaffers interview in footbalitarin I know realize some of what CQ was doing. He says to be a good defensive midfielder you need to be a defender and a midfielder. Cheshmi is the reserve player for Ezatollahi. But Gholizade he was LB one half Midfielder another so he is getting training to be reserve player for Hajsafi.
