Appreciate it man! Interestingly enough I’ve already started gathering clips of duels, 1 v1, interceptions, key passes, clearance, tackles etc. of Majid from 1.5 weeks ago.

It’s a really time consuming process because he is a defender and the work he does doesn’t show up in short match highlights. I’m basically watching every Esteghlal match he’s played in this season and downloading clips of him.

Gutted for the lad. He’s young, so it’s sad to see him get played by CQ like that.

The situation is kind of similar to Azmoun prior to WC 2014. If it turns out the way it did for Azmoun, then Majid will be a star by the time WC 2022 is around.

Just putting my 2 cents out there -- Majid seems like a fine player from the little I've seen of him, and his one cap with TM against Uzbekistan, but it seems that we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves to say he is TM WC material. I hope I'm wrong, but I do think its a bit early.

TBH i dont think CQ has a secret plan. He will likely jsut play the same old Pouraliganji and Cheshmi who he has been using in friendlies

This is big, myself and Pasha Hajian spoke to Danny Karbasiyoon yesterday in London and as an Arsenal scout, he says that it's possible that players with videos are more likely to be scouted as it's easier to assess sometimes. The issue I have with that is that, as much as he's inexperienced and maybe lacks the chemistry. Is he good enough to start? If so, he has to. For me it doesn't matter how old you are. If you have proven that you're good enough, you should play. It's not fair to say you can't play because you're not experienced.

well, experience does count especially when you're playing in a world event such as the WC. He's also playing a critical position on the field which may also count against him.

Personally having watched Cheshmi and his scary miss tackles in the penalty area, I hope he's on the roster to play that one Morocco game as a DM, but who knows.
