pretty bold having senegal make a deep run like 2002. i got the same final four and same results in the championship.. hopefully im wrong because i want france to win it all after us

Of course lol but lets not forget they have a relatively easy group... I think they can steal a game and tie one. Just being realistic.

They're only hope is the Russia and Egypt games. I see Suarez smashing through their defense with ease.

Made some quick calculations - if we lose the Spain game by 2 goals and Portugal scores 2 against Morocco (both likely scenarios), the final game against Portugal will be a very hard task because only a win would be enough to see us getting through as 2nd in this group (assuming Portugal loses their opening game and wins against Morocco).

So our 2nd game is more important than we think.

A 0-1 loss gives us some advantage in goal difference, while a 0-2 is most likely game over.

Worst case scenario:
1.ESP 9
2.POR 4 (better goal difference)
3.IRN 4
4.MAR 0

Best case scenario:
1.ESP 9
2.IRN 6
3.POR 3
4.MAR 0

I dont count Morocco out of getting points from Portugal. Especially with their extremely strong defense.
