He can start doing that by doing something this world cup (tie against Spain or Portugal) worth 2.5 million a year. Heck, freaking Schaefer could probably get us a win against Morocco. I want CQ to produce something tangible on the field to justify being the 7th highest paid coach in the world. None of these intagible "he changed our culture,etc..."
IFF probably made logical demand that he shows his worth at the world cup first before throwing $2.5 million+ a year at him for 4 years.

those guys on this forum complaining that he recieves so much money, and that he should go look somewhere else for another job after the world cup... seriously i dont know where you guys have been in the last 7 months, yejuri harf mizanin ke bere be darak. its shameful imo.
This person has endured so much Shit from so many people in these 7 years, so much bullshit he had to endure in these 7 years, not only from the people who constantly bash him for his good will for our football, but also from IFF, from promising him that Camp-e Team Melli getting renewed grass with top quality that still hasn't been put in place after they made the initial promise 7 years ago ( Yes 7 fucking years! I think they build whole Dubai in 7 years to where it is now ) to camps being canceled left and right! to promises that were made for PEC that has been unveiled just in the last couple months! ( also been promised in the last 5 frikken years! ) those are just small stuff that we know, ofcourse there are those ignorant cunts like mayeli kohan and ali karimi and Hedayati who sends his dallals into TM camp and wakes up his players to sign them to perspolis and many more shit he has to endure.
He has all the right to do what he did now and said. after going trough so much shit and just finally got his PEC up and running they only want to give him 6 months and just kick him out so another piece of shit iranian coach like ghalegohi comes along and reaps all of the hard work CQ has put into place. IMO this is total disrespect and as if they spit in his face.
people bashing CQ on this forum need to put themselves in his place and see if they have the ability to stay in Iran with these circumstances and bad working conditions for more than 2 months. i'd rather have all the money go to his pockets than Hezbollah and those Iraqi candidates for presidency and houthi's and palestinians, and lebanese, and i don't know where else they put our oil money into but CQ deserves to stay not only another 4 years if he wanted but 8 years or whenever and how long he wants because he did so much in these 7 years that all those Coaches before him did not do! yes even branko who was in charge is a sharlatan himself and thinks about his own success and wealth and doesn't give a damn about iran and iranians, if he did he'd work with TM coaches to get his players in top condition.. and not bitch about the little things that don't even matter.
to sum it up, CQ deserves every single penny he got, nooshe joonesh.

CQ did not have a good relation with Persepolis coach ( Branko ), Sepahan ( GN), Zobahan ( Namazi ) and now with Esteghlal Schafer. These are top four team in Iran. For Asian cup he has to rely on younger players but there is no TM B and U23 just got a new head coach(Zelatco) without assistant and most of U21 players has not been called. He will not have easy time for Asian cup under such circumstance.
Unless he wins over morocco and results versus Spain & Portugal are not very humiliating he has no future in Iran even with popularity among his fan.
Let’s hope Iran do well at WC and then decide what is best for future with or without CQ.
Should CQ leave he will have no trouble finding a good job but it won’t be part time like in Iran
See it's posts like this that really frustrate me. I have seen your own posts in the TM List thread giving CQ shit for replacing Jalal Hosseini with a young Majid Hosseini and now you have the audacity to come in here and say he hasn't relied on younger players so at this rate we will have a difficult time in the Asian Cup even though our team is super young.
I know your logic is not lacking so much for this to just be a mistake. You obviously have some kind of personal dislike for him as a coach. If so, just come out and say it, don't make up fantasies like he has not set up this squad for the future lol. This squad is set for almost a decade.

Reading some of those comments shows me again that most iranians in the so called diaspora doesn't know anything about Iran. I love Iran. It's people, it's culture. It's fun to make some vacation there, but living there? Working there? Go and try it! Actually it's very easy to work in Iran with a degree from Germany. Plus u get a lot of money!!! Much more then in Germany.
But what for? Bad living conditions and a bunch of Hezbollahis around u.

I really doubt he would leave now, especially with AC being so close. He's just using tactics to secure his last big contract from IFF.
Having said that, I honestly wouldn't mind someone new, but as long as it's a legit youngish modern coach.
If he fucks up in the WC I def wouldn't want him to continue as he's had plenty of time to prepare.

Hi everyone I'm new to these forums. Been a TM follower for 20 plus years. Leverage move or not, CQ attempted to raise our football culture at the National level, which he has done. Unfortunately, its not just our football culture that needed help, its our backwards culture of 35 years which gets in the way every time. I know he gets a handsome salary but I am AMAZED how he has dealt with these people. If he does leave they should display his statue outside Azadi.

umm CQ hasn't done anything "special" for us? omg....people are delusional.
-back to back world cup qualifications - the last was the easiest in our history...conceded 2 fucking goals
-likely would have gone to Asian Cup final if we weren't blindly robbed by ref
-changed the culture completely so that players fight to go to europe and emulate the jahanbakhsh example
-brought discipline, class, standards to TM
It's not fair to judge a coach purely on their results. it's not like we've been underachieving. in fact we've been OVERACHIEVING given the level of starpower we have today (I measure starpower as # of players in top european leagues). We have a very disciplined, smart, hardworking and soldierly group of players right now. but CQ certainly hasn't benefited from stars like Kia, hashemian, daei, azizi, karimi, bagheri, etc.
Another thing to consider is..beggars can't be choosers. is CQ flawed? yes. does he have a temper and does he lash out (somewhat unprofessionally sometimes)? yes. does he need to show more restraint with the media? yes. but he is objectively a world class coach, objectively CARES about this team and isn't just here for $ (don't forget the arab teams can, and have, paid him too...especially now with his reputation in asia), and GUESS WHAT:
it's highly unlikely we can get a coach of his caliber again anytime soon. my proof: fact that we have never even had a coach CLOSE to his level before...no one wants to work in IR.

There's pretty much no way CQ is leaving since Asian cup is literally 6 months later.
Lets hypothetically say we did well in the world cup, IFF is not letting him leave like that.
Im pretty sure he will leave right after the Asian cup. Winning the Asian cup and leaving? Am I dreaming?'Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not to their own facts.”
