That is great.
Haven't watched it? I just rewatched the games a couple a days ago. So better to not talk about something you don't know. If you had watched the our game against Bahrain (maybe you haven't who knows) you can clearly see we had a trouble time breaking down Bahrain, where one player in particular had couple of goal scoring chances on us (Jacey Jhon) but were saved by Haghihi. They were pinning us in our own half! Only from there we had one attack where Hajsafi shot went in and that lucky volley from Shojaei. But we were mostly scoring from set pieces. Mind you we were the best team of Asia at that time defending against Bahrain. Since you understand we have a better team you should also realize we should play free flowing attacking football if we are "supossedly better".

I was at the stadiums for all the games including the amazing 3 all with Iraq with 10 men for over 1hr. You see the game plan for the team was different then the WC just passed. Was it executed to your expectations, looks like it wasn't, we didn't have the personal we have right now then . if you remember you were all up in arms spelling doom and gloom at the world cup when CQ dropped Jalal Hosseini, you have to realise that CQ has a much better insight and understanding about the players at his disposal, studies the opposition and then applies tactics to match, and you got to admit he knows it better than all of us. So expect a tactic and team to suit Asian teams and it wont be anything like this passed WC.

I actually agree with some of the tactics he used in the World Cup (SOME, not all) and I also do believe he was the best coach we could have had statistically for our World Cup group. The worry for me wanting Jalal starting instead of Majid is because one mistake could have scarred him for life (would have been wasted potential)and Jalal was already synced in the partnership with Morteza, but big up Majid for holding his grown for such a young young defender against Spain and Portugal. My point of concern is if we are pyshically capeable of attacking football (4 years ago we weren't Ok I agree), why not implement a system to play free flowing attacking football? Watching Moharrammi for his friendly the other day he played an attacking style of football pressing up high and tracking back qucikly as possible, will he be allowed to do the same under CQ tactics? Also, CQ is a human like me and you just like ANY MANAGER fans should be able to criticize and question when they feel something isn't right. If CQ was a god Ok maybe, but he's just human.

Thats exactly what I have said here^

CQ is taken lightly by our average joe which when it comes to football experience and expertise their opinion is driven from their sunday afternoon football with their friends

Unlike the fans and Iranian football coaches and players, CQ actually attended top coaching classes of FIFA and have been coaching for 30 years at the highest realm of world football(not IPL)

He coached and got to scream at players like zidane, both of the ronaldos roberto carlos beckham and figo, Raul to name a few from your all time dream team

I think after all the years this man spent in world class football its time for our people to get off their 8 years of denial high horse and respect the man for his off the charts expertise

We managed to draw with the european champions after beating the african champions and a close game with spain, what more did some of our people expected from him and his team which overcame every obstacle on the planet that was thrown at them

Ever wondered that there might be a slight probability that you and the CQ fan Boys here (most of whom are still in their (pre)teens) are actually over estimating his expertise and results achieved? Or are you like religious fanatics convinced of your righteous path and thoughts?

If the former then try to sound less of a keyboard warrior and use passive aggressive wording.

            If the latter then.....well......

              Irani/oghdeyi at its best

If I would take your post seriously I would tell you to go have a read of what those players think of CQ and what his achievements were when he got to scream at those players you mentioned

But the again you and other CQ fan boys (including DD and Amoo Sibil, both of whom I regard highly on these forums) aren't to be taken seriously when discussing CQ....
It's just like Branko era and talking about Brank and shorcomings of TM, Daei etc.

ps: he coached Portugal's national team and we saw how the Portuguese treated him after the game, only a handfull of them talking to him, which he was very sad/pissed off about. If he was the icon of the football history that you make him to be then players would have taken selfies with him and trying to get his signature instead of ignoring him (like the Portuguese public for the last 10-15 years).

This is true, I was amazed by the amount disrespect CQ's former players had for him. Not to mention nearly all Portugeuse fans XD I think the man can't visit Portugal again.

If you practice what you preach all will be well.

Thanks for realizing that you need to be more respectful and less condescending on the forums towards the people who do not share your views.

                      Dear friend
I have never done that, you are probably mistaking me with someone else, as you can see I have little over 300 posts and all of it was in the past few months in support of our team melli,
I could have easily used the type of language you used but I couldnt bare with my self to act in such way.

be more humble, take it easy

                      no hard feelings bro

                      all the best

                        @Babak Agha,
Plz use a better tone when discussing. Calling people Oghdeyee is uncalled for!
Tks to Val for keeping his cool.

                        Take it easy guys!

Dont get me wrong I like CQ......just was wishing we could get a world class coach who was more offensive minded.

He won't leave Iran, even if IFF doesn't want him.
Where else can he go to get that kind of support and fans?
he will stay until his Ghashi supporters make a statue from him or name a highway or football field after him

Minute 31 pouraliganji answers the critics of team melli and CQ for being defensive, I suggest all those angry at CQ and team melli to listen to what the actual players say about the reason behind our style of play

They need to give Carlos Queiroz not a contract until World Cup 2022 but imediatly give him a contract until World Cup 2026! If he works with us the big suprise will come true!

He did history with in Iran in World Cup 2018 Russia and not to forget he's start at World Cup 2014 Brasil. We where not lucky in World Cup 2018 but played extreemly good

Do you think Jalal Talebi or Branko Ivanković, Mohammad Mayeli Kohan, Amir Ghalenoei and with all respect Ali Daei would have ever done the some or other Iranian?
