"Everyone needs to relax, it's called a friendly for a reason.

Turkey played with nothing to lose, and they had a lot of younger players trying to impress their NT coach.

TM has to be conservative in these friendlies... imagine a player giving his all in a friendly and getting injured just as he's about to live a life dream of playing in the World Cup.

    Not worried at all.

    "

DOnt buy it my friend...I have played few friendlies myself too.....

Jalal Hosseini is the Canavaro of Iranian football, those that played football in club level know that defense is the only position in the game, which one simply can not play unless they have extensive knowledge and experience in playing this particular position, as a simple mistake can destroy years of anticipation of the fans and preparations of the team

Today cheshmi and also torabi proved they can not deliver in big games as the stress over takes their judgement and performance contrary to a veteran player like seyed jalal that goes into 1on1s with any player instinctually out of experience, Cheshmi was responsible on both goals, the Turks knew he was vulnerable therefore they pushed and broke him everytime, I am sure our World Cup competitors will analyze him and his weaknesses and will try to break us from his lack of competence, Cheshmi's flaws are not fixable in 2 weeks, even if CQ wants to bring Cheshmi and give him a chance he should also bring seyed Jalal in case Cheshmi under performs he can sub him out with seyed Jalal

CQ will regret not selecting Jalal Hosseini for the reminder of his football life
My friend, baba joon. This was not a "big game". The purpose of this game was to test your players and strategies. That is it. If we had won this game would you say that meant that we were ready to defeat the likes of Spain and Portugal??

I might take this suggestion up as well. it's dooms day, all hope is lost, it is a disaster, etc etc. everyone thinks they know better than a coach who has taken multiple teams to the WC multiple times, and all hinges on on an experimental friendly game. Come on guys give us a break.

Just saw highlights on youtube, the comments are negative about iran, we had to take it serieusly against turkey, az torkaye chos bakhtiem, in the name of "friendly" game, aberumun raft.

All in all its about speed and passing. The guys we are complaining the most about lacked it. If you can't move and think the game at a high tempo then you are bound to get burned.

Shojaie from as long as I can remember takes a very slow approach to TM games. I swear when in Spain he played completely different. That's why he really never became AK8 on the field. Say what you want about AK8 but his movement had pace were rapid and he constantly turned on the after burners when needed...as a result he drew in players and opened vast amounts of space for others. Even Azizi in his prime could do this for others. Shojaie instead slows the game, back passes or loses possession instead of playing the easy give and go. He dribbles in dangerous areas without support and can be a liability counterattack wise. He has shown game in and game out he just can't adjust at TM. Maybe he has been told to play this way? I dunno but it's obvious he is slowing the game down too much.

Of course, I feel this way about others too but he stands out the most!

                ^yes, true.
In fact I think shojai does not even look anywhere just like joogeh tighi looks at the ball.
I said it weeks ago before CQ chose his tam that people like Cheshmi were not good enough to be in CB position. To replace Marde kaar koshteh with a rookie was a mistake. someone here did not like my comment but he is also a newbie to the forum and probably thinks Hossini at 35 is like Daei at 37. Daei was the only person at noke hamleh and could not run at old age.
Then Ghafouri... He is the one of the reasons SS has moved up in PGL. to leave him out was a mistake also. It is true to say that Taremi JB and Azmoon took it easy. with one goal we at lease proved that we can score against any team but our defenders and midfielders need to do more to save the achievements. Moharaami the kid proved again that he is a tough cookie. He can take the balls from anyone including Ronaldo. But we should have had Sadegh moharami on this team as well. We did not have shortage of talent. But the decisions are not the best. CQ had no hard time for choosing Taremi, Gucci, Dejagah, Azmoon and JB because they were the obvious. Mohammadi and montazeri were also the obvious. So the error is in choosing a few that may hurt us unless the other players wake up and work harder to make up for it.
CQ should have seen all Asian championship games and that would have made the selection easier. The previous friendly before turkey match did not help anything. ideally we should have chosen the best players much sooner 2-3 months before the world cup.
Any of these guys Kamyabinia, Mosalman or Noorolahi could do better than shojaai at any position given to them. Mosalman passing balls to Azmoon and Taremi would produce many goals. As for goal keeper i said it a year AGO that Beiranvand was the best and some guys criticized him here they they loved him after one match and then criticized again. we need to be consistent and stick to our words and Admit our mistakes.
Rahmati's chances for appearing in world cup are over . He could have apologized and made it as number 2 goalkeeper, The guy could be used for Penalty catching. He does it even with his boots. poor attitude once in like made him lose two big chances. He could have been even the third goalkeeper. So maybe Shojaai has a personality that CQ likes. As for Ghodos, He is a good player but no way close to ali Karimi (AK8)to break through lines of defense.

It was a friendly, against a team that was better than the teams we played in the past few matches. CQ tested many things in this game and will learn from this experiments. Calm down. We play week teams some of you complain. Then we play a better teams you complain still complain. To be honest I am not sure when you wouldn't complain?
AND stop using this friendly as an excuse to keep saying bring back this player or that player or why you didn't invite this or that. CQ has made his choice and it needs to be respected.
If you don't like how our TM played maybe you can watch Saudi Arabia against Italy highlights :-)
I am not saying don't let your opinion known, but respect the coach and his decisions.
Plus all our WC opponents are now going to underestimate our TM and will be in the dark in relation to how we are actually going to play.

The more I watch the 2nd goal, the more I realize that the 2nd goal was basically Masoud and Beiro's fault. First Masoud's poor defending led to the assist, secondly, Beiro was way out of position, came out way too early. Cheshmi actually closed down on the attacker and narrowed his angle. If Beiro had stayed in his net, that ball would be saved.

Good damn it Beiro, I really want to like you, but you make it so hard.

It's infuriating, isn't it?... Like I said before, if we beat Brazil 4-1 half the pages in the post-match thread will be about the goal we let in!

Two weeks left to the WC and you have to keep scrolling over post after post of doom and gloom with no basis in logic or even basic understanding of the preparation process.

Don't worry fellas! This Portuguese or as "patriots" in Iran call him, Moozambiki mercenary will be gone in a few weeks. Then we'll be back to "beautiful football" where our Goalie gets to win Man of The Match for keeping us in the game against giants like UAE. Just be patient for now!

This is all part of CQ's master plan.. We wants to mess around in the friendlies to have the expectations low at the WC and to have other teams take us lightly and then BOOM we have a great performance and CQ is praised for his tricks and gets awards a fat contract extension.

4? who is the fourth that Rahmati was talking about?

On a normal day we would beat this turkey team 9 out of 10 times. We had position hade some good chances. Their goalkeeper was man of the match and saved them. They had nothing to loose. We are preparing for world cup and CQ is exprementing with the team and he don't want to give away our tactics and reveal our starting 11. Sure Turkey is our neighbors and there is rivelery but WC is more important.

Mimo was greatHajsafi was good I was also impressed with Ghoddos JB was good it was nice seeing Dejagha back although he needs to work on his fitness. Gucci was lively and good but a big lol for him trying to pull a Ramos on a players leg, Anyone else noticed this? Also nice to see our players trying to keep their cool in the game it's sign of professionalalism. Shojaei was awful he was turkeys 12th player serving them the ball all the time. I wouldn't starte cheshmi as a defender ever this is not based on his performance yesterday but in general he doesn't have what it takes, maybe he can make it as a DM but he is not a defender.

Ref was ashghal as soon as our players touched them he blew the whistle but standing 1 meter away from JB he missed the foul that was outside/inside the box? But the ref problem is not something new for us, Dejagha penalty was nice.
