Test Games, Practice Games, Preparation Games, Friendlies, Adesorians, Warm Up games.... whatever you call them are not being played to be won as their prime objective. This games are to reveal weaknesses, try new positions, and also put players in uncomfortable positions on purpose and create a wake up call!
I never take the results of friendlies srsly.

I don't understand all these critiques about Ramin. Both goals were scored from left side. Milad was not so good. I really doubt CQ would start Cheshmi in that CD. He just don't want to reveal his final lineup for what reason I don't know but maybe he starts Cheshmi to test Biranvand or does not want his team be analysed. Turkey was good. Stronger than Morocco and portogal. I still predict Iran and Spain would go next round.

Wow why are some TM fans so Melo-dramatic?

1st off its a friendly game in Turkey right after heavy training to get the teams body ready for World Cup- Also multiple positions being tested.

2nd- Why do we always point to 1 player for all of our failures or 1 payer for all of our success- its a team sport-----the first goal was not Cheshmis's fault- He was covering for PAG as he got left behind- there were at least 4-5 players at fault for that Goal- PAG, Roozbeh, Beiro, Milad and even our midfield. Roozbeh was running across to cover for PAG and the Striker made an excellent move.

....never take results of a friendly seriously unless we win though right?

Because it’s one of our last friendlies...we should be looking like a TEAM not a bunch of headless chickens in one of our LAST legitimate friendly matches. How is this concept difficult to grasp.? Really it was an underwhelming performance. I love this team but there are not many friendlies left for the optimists to use as an excuse.

It's confirmed on World Football: http://www.worldfootball.com/m/71729...es/greece/iran

Yet again, I've read amateur Iranian blogs/sites that mention it's off. Any other sources?

My analysis of TM after today.

                      1. Cheshmi has no business being in TM. I still don’t understand why they didn’t use Noorafkan in his spot as backup DM.
                      2. Ezzatollahi red card is very crucial but I say Ebrahimi did enough to earn a starting spot against Morocco.
                      3. PAG and Mimo need to start every TM game.
                      4. Cut Khanzadeh and replace with Seyed Jalal. Back line has no leadership whatsoever.
                      5. No chemistry on offense at ALL. Taremi, Shojaei, Gucci all need to be used as subs.
                      6. Ghoddos, Hajsafi, JB need to start all TM games for offense.
                      7. I want to see Mazaheri start in GK because Beiro was good and shaky today.
                      8. Ramin is still a question mark. I would cut Amiri and use that for Vouria. Ramin needs some sort of competition back there.

                      Conclusion:
                      CUT: Khanzadeh, Cheshmi, Amiri
                      Callup: Jalal, Vouria

You mean my realism, because I'm fully aware what this game was and what it meant to accomplish. But to your point I agree if there was one thing that was frustrating was the lack of good passing. Otherwise I think this was an extremely successful test by test meaning practice, warm up, live fire strategy session, and it showed what we need to work on physically as well tactically.

Good news we can take from this is that it’s another friendly under our belt. However I want to see some improvements instead of regression. I still believe our boys will play their best when it matters most, but the Spain game is terrifying me right now.

Cheshmi sucks, yes. But, anyone panicking, please go look at our 2014 World Cup preparation. We lost to Guinea 2-1, tied Montenegro, Angola, and Belarus, and defeated Trinidad and Tobago.

Going by those results, we probably should have lost every game in Brazil by 5+ goals. These were friendlies though, and the team was not the same when it mattered. Asking most teams in the world, bar the cream of the crop like Germany, Spain, etc., to go into Turkey's home, and defeat them is a difficult task. We underperformed, yes, but almost every team in the world has matches where they lose and even look poor.

Since Argentina lost to Spain 6-1, are we to assume their World Cup will go exactly the same? Should teams who have a bad game preceding the world cup just forfeit as their performance cannot improve in the big game moments?

I think people are being a tad bit reactionary, as a 2-1 result away to a European squad that is competitive in European football is not horrible. We were not as good as we could have been, but I think even if we played a perfect match, we still might have tied. This is as if asking New Zealand to come to Tehran and beat us. It really isn't that easy!

With all that said, Cheshmi sucks. He is the only truly negative thing I can say that probably can't improve in 18 days.
