Iran vs Turkey Player Ratings | Post Match Discussion
Everyone needs to relax, it's called a friendly for a reason.
Turkey played with nothing to lose, and they had a lot of younger players trying to impress their NT coach.
TM has to be conservative in these friendlies... imagine a player giving his all in a friendly and getting injured just as he's about to live a life dream of playing in the World Cup.
Not worried at all.
Cheshmi has cost us 4 goals in 5 matches and CQ still lines him up. That's literally the definition of insanity: doing the exact same thing over and over again, and expecting different results!
Everyone should just look back at how easily Chesmi was dribbled on the first goal, and how blind/slow/weak he was on the second goal. Now swap out the Turk with Ronaldo, and you've got yourself a goddamn nightmare.
I'm also incredibly frustrated with how often Quieroz puts Karim, who is a great poacher striker, into a central midfield role which requires a completely different skill set. Additionally, i think there's certain perks to Shojaei in midfield but even greater risks. He's great for making sure we have some sort of build-up play from the back and creates space well, but as a down side he often makes risky dribbles and fouls, lacks physicality, and has average positioning at best. I think this game IMO ruled out that idea as a whole.
Much needed preparation match for TM....a couple of things CQ tested out that I doubt he would seriously consider against Morocco:
1. Having Ansarifard and Taremi on the pitch at the same time
2. Starting Taremi as a winger
3. Playing Shojaie as CM who has to get the ball from defense and distribute; That should be Haj Safi, Ebrahimi or even Dejagah, not him. He is at his best as CAM.
4. Starting Cheshmi (he was terrible) as CB
Things I hope he would seriously consider:
1. Bringing Seyyed Jalal back!!
2. Ebrahimi should probably start in Ezatollaie's Absence
3. Gucci should be our golden 70 min+ sub
4. Ghoddos needs to start!
5. Dejagah needs to start! (He looked fit enough right now, I'm sure he will even be in a better shape in 18 days)
Lol keep dreaming my friend. If Cheshmi plays inthe WC he's gonna do the same blunders. The fact that we can't create at all isn't linked to players scared of getting injured. That's been the case for years. We've never managed to score after a good ball possession, it's always been down to set pieces or pure luck.

I agree, and I think after today's match CQ will agree as well - this is why you test different players in friendlies my friend...
We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.
For his actions on the second goal alone, Cheshmi 0. He made no effort to close down the gap between himself and Tosun. He had a good two seconds to close him down once Tosun had possession.
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.
with all respect I am not really sure about Beiranvand being our no. 1 (amalkardesh mogheye khordane dota goal zaeif bud moghei ke nabayad birun biad, miad va vaghti baayad birun biad ham ke nemiad mesle mogheye goale 2)
but I think the opinions on him are quite controversial...
really hope that Jalal will be added and that the game against Greece takes place
This was a piss poor performance, an embarrassment and it actually killed all my excitement for the world cup. Now I I'm only going to watch it hoping we won't end up as the worst team of the tournament.
-On CQ: for about 2 years he has been trying the same weird experiments over and over again (players out of position, questionable player selections, Fielding players despite repeated poor performances), always expecting a different outcome. This is not very respectable and frankly unfair to those players working hardest and actually developing.
The time of experiments is over!
-players like Beiranvand and Amiri don't deserve to play. They havent been improving for months and years already. Beiranvands exits and set-pieces and his positioning as seen today are unacceptable for a professional player. Amiri doesn't deserve to wear the national shirt. He never had a good game in his entire tm career and is pretty much the same player of 3 years ago, and he didn't deserve to get invited in the first place.
-cheshmi is only there because of the dire dm situation and he is only to play in outmost emergencies.
-our defense is lost without the guidance of an experienced player. When you play 4 inexperienced defenders at once you'll get the abyss of today. Now that Hossein has been crossed of , Montazeri must be used in CD at all times. You can't play him as RB anymore. You could try khanzadeh there, but that would be another experiment.
-our players are so uncomposed on the ball, it hurts to watch. We might have the strongest bench ever, but one weak link is enough to disrupt our whole game. This needs to be fixed. Playing players out of position will not help in this regard.
-our squad is young enough. Now out of the available options only the most solid and best performing should play.
-for about 8 years we have been desperately missing a playmaker. Now that we have 3 different options (saman, masoud, Ashkan), why don't we use them as such?
I don't know why but with all respect I am not really sure about Beiranvand being our no. 1 but I think the opinions on him are quite controversial...

I hope CQ opens a box at the next conference and out comes Jalal's orb of a head and his scary eyes.
