Lool, Spain game scares everybody including Germany, Brazil or anyone else.

also big thanks to whoever set up the discord chat (Tehranto/Zamboor?). Its fun to use during the prematch, HT. With tensions so high during TM matches, I would encourage us all to use this chat, instead of forum, so we dont bombard forum with every random stressed thought that enters our brains. In my eyes the forum for match threads during matches should be more for tactical, factual things, and post match analysis.

Why does CQ keep calling up Ansarifard? He hasn’t done zip for TM. Just because you play good for your club doesn’t mean you’ll be effective for TM.

I agree I just don't think he's been good enough for TM. Kaveh deserved a trip after Ansarifard got to travel to Brazil.

For me three players stood out:
                Shojaei -100
                Cheshmi -50
                Rezaeian -0

MasOud Shojaei needs a hard yelling by CQ. For a veteran he distributes the ball sooo slow without any push. He also hold the ball toooo long...horrible horrible playing....

Masoud has always been like this. It only becomes an issue when we have proper opposition. The fans in the stadium in 2014 were swearing at him non-stop.

He would be fantastic, even at his current age, in a previous version of TM when we relied on deimi football and individual brilliance of playmakers.

He sticks out like a sore thumb in this TM.

Seeing arsenal fans on twitter who watched commenting on the high pace of the match. It must be said it was a very intense game, both physically and technically. Minus Cheshmi not being at this standard and costing two goals, I think TM did very well, and that we easily deserved a tie, in which case many peoples clearly emotional ratings would be much higher. Please dont look at result so much and analyze performance as a whole.

Most of you are missing the point of this match.

Let's thank the Turkish team by taking the game seriously and playing a
very hard and pressing game against us.

CQ wanted to simulate his team's shape and players ability to adjust to
different game conditions. He kept the 5 back players and played 12 players
at experimental positions and combinations up front. This was his
chance to see the results in a real match environment vs pretty good team.
He also confused the heck out of our opponents with this smorgasbord of
players playing in unfamiliar positions. Morocco must be licking their chops
attacking us in the middle thinking that Cheshmi is our staring CB.

And I am pretty sure Morocco will not be any better than this Turkish
team we played. So I think CQ is much more confident about beating
Morocco in the first match now after he managed to get a respectable
result by playing a random team in front of Turkey.

All in all, I think it was a great game, obviously not for the result. However it was a good test against a good team at their home. I think this showed in the first 15 min, when we played a bit shaky and nervous, something like the atmosphere at the WC, which will be much more intense.

                            The negatives:

-Cheshmi, hopefully he get dropped after this. He was at fault at both goals, even though beiro was
off position on the second one.
-Defence and midfield. This game showed what most of us already knew, that we lack in two main positons, who is gonna
play next to hajsafi in midfield for the morocco game and next to PAG in CB.

                            The positives:

-The offensive play was actually good, and we showed we have a lot of quality,
With better precision we would have a couple of goals, hajsafi chance in particular.
-I liked the attitude even though we were behind, they kept fighting until the final whistle

I liked the formation, however i think for the Greece game, Majid, Ashkan and Ghoddos should replace Cheshmi, Masoud and Karim.
Hopefully we can alsot get a positive result for that game.

You put players on purpose in unfamiliar positions and give them a good shock while at the same time also confuse the real opponents at the tournament who watch us!

in total agreement with you. We looked really dangerous offensively but needed that final pass and precision at key moments to make even more chances and capitalize on our periods of domination. thats why Ashkan and Ghoddos need to be more involved.
