Hell i think the Persian Roma page gets more likes and retweets than their English one.
I think they got crazy when they heard Nainggolan is not going to the WC. Well I did.

This game was such a mess it's hard to organize the positives and negatives.

Clearly CQ was testing out different options in the middle and I really hope to god what he came away with is that Shojaei can't play CDM in front of the defense, and Ansarifard is not a CM.

Cheshmi is nowhere near the quality we need in our starting line up (even at CDM). His marking and field awareness is atrocious, and his defending is just as bad. Which really begs the question, if you're going to bring him for depth, why in the world would you not bring Seyed Jalal as a back-up. Versatility is great when it's matched with a degree of quality, but Cheshmi unfortunately doesn't meet that standard.

We're stacked up top, but it's no use having quality wingers/forwards if we can't keep possession and get them the ball, there was a huge disconnect in the midfield until Dejagah/Amiri/Ghoddos/Ebrahimi came on. I think all four players that came on showed why they're important to the team (to a lesser extent Ebrahimi).

Say what you want about Amiri's quality, but the guy hustles his butt off and gets involved in the play. He checks to and plays simple passes. At this point, I'd start him over Taremi just because of his work rate and his willingness to get involved in the play and take an active approach, instead of waiting for the ball to get to him. That being said, I'd like to see Ghoddos start on the left against Greece.

I really hope Dejagah can get himself to full fitness, because we're a completely different team with him on the field. He looked a step slow, but still had a positive effect.

This game was good in the sense that we needed a wake up call, and it was good game to learn from. One thing that stood out to me was Turkey was superior to most of our players physically. Azmoun and AJB were getting bullied off the ball.

We had some terrible moments, and some promising plays. We just have to hope they learn from their mistakes and concentrate on being more consistent with the positive things they did in this game.

Sorry, my thought/points aren't better organized.

I think you have a point. After watching the 2nd gaol a few times, it seems that Cheshmi did what he had to do to push Tuscon wide, but Beiranvard had already committed and came out of the goal line, way up, for no good reason IMHO. Tuscon had nowhere to go, and had Beiranfard stayed inside the posts he could have easily saved the shot. Mind you, that Beiranvand had three outstanding saves though from very close range. Hopefully, he'll do even better next time.

7-1 loss against AS Roma B was in 1998. What are you talking about?

He didn't push him wide, he actually had an advantage in positioning and still got beat, and he didn't close down on Tosun when he went to take the shot. But you guys are right, Beiranvand was unnecessarily off his line.

Btw, did anyone see the TM guys post pics of RM win in CL?
Seems like we have ton of fanboys of Real, which is fine we all have a favorite European team but i cant say ive ever seen such fanboy bazi few weeks before biggest game of their life. Makes u think do these guys believe in themselves enough to go up against Ronaldo Ramos Carvajal and them? Or are they there to collect their jersey and signature?
I hope they truly go there with a mindset of beating these guys and not just show up to look pretty and say to their kids daddy played next to Ronaldo one day

Now that's something a lot of people in this forum need to read!

Although I think scoring more goals than in the past is also something you can't predict! but I completely agree with the rest!

Ansarifard plays well in Greece. His position was wrong, almost a defensive midfielder.

                    Here is whats gonna happen:

Before the game they will go to their locker room with flowers and Macho O Booseh and selfies and hugs and give them Eye-Ranian Safron and Pistachoes and ask for signatures and say Ghorbaaaaaaaaaaaaaneh Shoma and walk out! And after the whistle they will foul them so hard that they can't stand up anymore, and you will be praying to GOD, hope we don't get booked!

Cheshmi should not be near the starting lineup and if he plays, only as DM.
Ansarifard is not a midfielder (surprise, surprise) and Shojaei not a defensive midfielder.
If Queiroz, for whatever reasons, shouldn't have been aware of this, he must be now.
Great Martin Jan and I totally agree. However don't you think he already knows that. He lives with team melli day and night bro. I strongly believe he had two objectives which he achieved:

1- He confused not only the fans but the coaches of the rival teams even further.

2- Practiced for a scenario of Plan B or C (most likely to prepare against Portugal in the last world Cup match) that Team Melli falls behind and changes the formation to all attack. I think for that day; it'll look a bit better as Ezatollahi will be there.

I think playing his players on different areas; gives him a better sense of Plan B. Who will be the best in different positions. PRO Coaches as you know bro; even practice players for a goalie situation. It had to be done and what is the better way of achieving it than Turkey; a physical team that can challenge all lines.

I liked that we played brave and tried to go all on attack to test this scenario as well. He achieved his goal hopefully and now knows the weak points.

I think he will have a surprise for us against Morroco and Portugal. Yes I also think we have tough luck against Spain. If we wanna go through our chances are against Morroco and the weak defense of Portugal.
