    Line-Ups Only Thread: Line-up against Morocco, Spain and Portugal

    Hi guys, I thought I would make a proposed line-up for the world cup thread as I can't see one already. Mods, please feel free to merge if there is one.

    Guys, what is your proposed line-up for the first game of the world cup?



    This is mine for Morocco:

    We need someone next to Ebrahimi who can play DM and unfortunately the only candidate really is Cheshmi who is OK there at club level.


    I really want to start Ghoddos but the way CQ plays I can't think of any where to put him. He likes Taremi as support for Azmoun and he doesn't play a simple CAM where Ghoddos might fit in. So I can't see him starting unless CQ switches to a more attacking formation, perhaps with a trequartista.

    Then against Spain/Portugal:

      For the Spain match I'd put no attacking players in at all. For a striker I'd put CB, we should just aim for 1 point in that match! No attack at all!!! Just defend!!! 11-0-0 formation IDC if Spain have 90% possesion just park

        Morocco : I would have loved to see PAG at CDM but dont think its happening. Ebrahimi was solid in his 30 ish mins today.Beira cemented himself, and Cheshmi did the exact opposite, while karim proved he cant play in Midfield.

        For spain the same lineup, except ezatolahi in defensive midfield. Maybe Taremi for Ghoddos depending on first game. If ashkan cant start the second game bc of fitness, then start masoud.

        If vouria was in team I would have started him vs spain. Portugal game really depends on scenario of group and previous matches, so I cant predict that.

          The question is not what our line up will be against Spain and Portugal, but rather how are we going to survive the Morocco game and get the best out of our players the next 2 weeks in order to win that fucking game.

          And why am I still seeing Masoud in the lineups? He was a -100 today. As soon as the match tempo goes up he loses it. Overrated player internationally that adds zero to the team except for dangerous turnovers, unnecessary dribbles and dives.

          If you are a good player, it doesn’t matter if you play DM, CM or whatever. Shojaei, alongside Ansarifard have proven not to be the right players to compete at World Cup level. They didn’t even do the basics right like passing, distributing the ball and reading the game. Our WCQ’s and also the Greek league is a massive joke and it shows.

            I agree that PAG back at CDM would be very interesting but he would need to have two experienced centre backs behind him.

              I don't ever want to see Cheshmi on the field again, nor do i want to see Shojaei as lone CDM or ansarifard as a CM. My lineup for pretty much all the games (sub ebrahimi with ezza):

                I said this a long time ago that Masoud isnt needed for TM. Many of you guys said I was wrong. But even saying that, I thought he was pretty good today after initial 20-25 mins, ON THE BALL. He was really calm and distributed well actually. But OFF THE BALL, he is non existent. He is playing a pirlo role, nobody does that any more, and the only team that did was italy, BECAUSE IT WAS PIRLO, and they put two willing runners next to him in marchisio or veratti, florenzi, whatever. We dont have that, thus masoud is a passenger off the ball. This was also the cause of goal number 2, he couldnt get goal side of yazici who played a decent ball to tosun. If saeid was in there, that goal wouldnt have happened, bc he would have minimum fouled Yazici.

                  first of all, i hope CQ recalls Ghafouri and Hosseini, because they'd be in my starting 11 for sure. Hell even Beita would be better option at RB than Ramon

                      now this is a good line up, we can bring in taremi , masoud second half along with gucci.we have speed at the front and good attacking players.
