They still forget that 7 years ago we defeated Russia 1-0 and we played decent. This match impressed Carlos Queiroz as he was in attendance which then led to him signing to coach Team Melli.
People forget we defeated Chile 2-0 who brought 3-4 of their five star players.
They forget about us beating South Korea 4 times in a row in our head to head and just focus on the negative. “Yeaaah but umm we umm played defensively and umm if we played attacking umm we would lose. And Son is the best!” Yeah I’d say that’s true about the match in South Korea where Reza scored. But we won didn’t we? Also Iran wrecked South Korea technically and tactically in Tehran in October of 2016. We played so well and so brilliantly that the South Korean coach praised our team. But some always remember the negative because we want to b**** and moan.
People remember losing to Tunisia and forget we defeated Algeria. Yes, Algeria. The team with an EPL champion player in Mahrez, who will possibly go into the English football history books as a legend. We forget about the other good players they have and we focus on “Umm bro we only beat them cause they suck now”. But then the same pessimistic clowns forget that Algeria could’ve actually won as well. We forget how well we play vs Turkey but remember that we lost because of 2 defensive errors.
I like to focus on the positive and this is why I very much enjoy this thread!
