Australia just hammered the Czech 4-0 and after our losd to Turkey now they have passed us. This sucks as the new rankings will be out June 7th just before the world cup so Australia will be introduced to fans as Asias number 1 team! Hopefully we get some results in the WC otherwise they might remain #1 for a while as they have more chances of getting good results in their group compared to us.

I wonder if we had played the Greece or even Kosovo friendly and won would they still have more points I doubt it, yet another reason we needed those friendlies (lithuania) will count in the next rankings.

no it does not suck, and it is same for every nation, it is somethin else to bet kosovo no.150 and get 10,20 points or beating czech and collect 150 points masalan....we want to play small countries, if they play us, and collect less points, while playing and beating tunisia, turkey or greece in azadi, would improved our ranking, but at the end of the day it is not important, important is the wc matches, but it would be nice to go into the tournament as asias no. 1 team, and also stay no.1 after the tournament...

Ey baba we are saying the same thing. Clearly WC performance for TM is far important than what their FIFA rank is at the WC.

It's not really over until its over. Ghoddos played for Sweden in two friendlies and then came to his senses and chose the right team. Millenials these days like to job hop, so expect another hop occurring if he isn't part of their official list of 23.

fifa ranking, even though we will drop, is because we miss a few friendlies, we will bounce back in fifa ranking, statically we are still the best asian side, why?cause in qualifying we were un beaten that all that counts

I'm tired of hearing the FIFA ranking doesn't mean anything or etc.... IT FKING CLEARLY DOES on so many fronts in terms of ranking for future tourneys or a whole host of other benefits that comes along with being Ranked Numero Uno..!!

mind you, each TM Loss also has Huge Psychological Negative Effects on our players ....! each loss (Friendly or not) Dampens our players Confidence and Winning mentality and vigor.!! with the tough group we are facing at WC that further dissipates our players belief and confidence in attaining Favorable result at WC..!!

It all began with CQ adapting a more Open and Attacking overall Scheme of play since we wrapped up WCQualifying ...!!
I can only hope, CQ is doing all these shitt early on to fool the WC group coaches ...!!?
