Zlatan is a special case. He is far superior to Fellaini - and Iran today is much stronger than 2015.
Nobody is talking about shots, it's the headers that will give you trouble. The Korean dude sucked, only thing he had for going him was that he was tall and that thing was giving our defense a lot of headache.
Same with Fellaini, nobody cares about his skills, fact is he's the same size as Zlatan and can head the ball better (way better).

How tall are our defenders? How tall are Fellaini and Lukaku? If you park the bus and let cross after cross come in, you're bound to lose some aerial duels and get scored on eventually.

Japan knew this and tried to prevent this by not letting the Belgium team come near their goal, but they just couldn't (Although they are only seconds away from ET).

hahah you're making it more and more difficult to be taken seriously.......first of all it was VERY intentional as the arm/hand was above his head......second of all if that wasn't intentional and no handball then what was our penalty against Portugal.

Get over it, it has been more than a week. You should by now be less emotional and more objective about it.

First of all I could not care less if you want to take me seriously. Second the goal was disallowed because it was ruled Offside not handball Sherlock.

And believe me I am quite over it because With having the experience of performing so well in such a difficult group under our belt and CQ staying, we will improve so much that by the next WC we will be advancing from the group stage whether we end up in another group of death or not.

            I agree.
But going back as far as the early 90's where they were gradually making their presence felt as an Asian super power, the style of playing with 7 to 8 players in the opponent's half and leaving their back line wide open has always been Japan's way of playing football.
Our face offs with them in Asian cup 92, world cup qualifiers in 93, 97 and 2005 are a few examples which prove that fact about the Japanese football.
An almost perfect copycat of the Dutch style of football.

Iran had 0 shot on goal against Spain.
had 1 shot on goal against Portugal. I suppose that was from the dubious PK.
Yet many of you talk as if you should have won.

I'm happy with out performance against Spain and Portugal. They're great sides. I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve by unfairly denigrating our performances. It just makes you look hateful and envious. I have no problem acknowledging that Korea played well against Germany.

Sure, we had no shots on goal against Spain, but Spain only had three shots on Iran's goal - and although our shooting was off, we had the better chances near goal.

We had two shots on goal against Portugal, and eight shots in total. We should've scored a few those, for sure.
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

If your (made up) rule of unintentional handball is correct, it would mean that it was correctly called offside, as the ball came of an Iranian player when Ezzi was offside.
Otherwise I'm pretty sure assisting a goal with your hand is always a handball and even a yellow card, as you don't unintentionally bring your hand above your head while jumping and trying to HEAD.

Second part I agree with you, expect of the part that we will advance no matter what.

First off, it doesn't matter if it was intentional or not. His hand was in an unnatural position.
Second, even if you want to say it's not a handball, Ezatollahi was still in an offside position when the ball touched Pouraliganji's hand.
Everyone here wishes it was a legit goal, or even that that the ref might've missed the handball and the offside. But at the end of the day it was the right call.

I cannot find it either. I wish I had bookmarked it.

But you guys keep losing 1-0 to us. You should do something about it.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

A country that failed to reach Asian Cup final for the last 42 years and counting needs something to console themselves with.
