Diaspora markets are huge money makers for them.
Nike has stores in Nigeria and Turkey and there is no limitations for Nike for doing business in their countries.

Iran on the other hand can't do business with any American companies.

As I said thousands of people that will boycott them will not effect their bottom line. This doesn't need an explanation. The Iranian market has been a zero for Nike for the last 40+ years. Nike has been fine without Iran and will continue to be fine. Don't kid yourselves.

The market in Nigeria may be huge, but actual buyers are very limited. Counterfeiting for them is a huge issue.
Their biggest buyers were Nigerians who live in England.

Nikes own Nigeria website shows 5 stores to buy their product in Nigeria.

          https://www.nike.com/ng/football/boo...am-collection/

Iran on the other hand can't do any business with Nike. We are at the same level of North Korea, not Nigeria.

There are millions of Iranians outside of Iran who have money and buy Nike products all the time. no company can alienate millions of customers and not affect their bottom line. This is not even about Nike's bottom line but you as an Iranian and a human not giving your money to a company that goes out of their way for no reason whatsoever (except political) to insult you. As someone already mentioned they cant even enforce the stupid ban they have made. If this comment was made against Israel you would see Jews from all over the world not only ban together but lobby and convince others to boycott their products. There are plenty of alternatives for their products we really dont need Nike and we can do just fine without them for eternity.

              Do you understand my point?
I'm saying they may have some stores in Nigeria, but the bulk of their business is for Nigerian expats.

Nike has been boycotting Iran since 1979. How is it affecting their bottom line? And no Nike doesn't need Iran at all.
Do you care that apple, microsoft, facebook, google boycott Iran?
Maybe the problem isn't Nike, but the Iranian government.

I disagree. Did you just make up this stat? Where does it say most was sold to expats?

There is 155 million people that live in Nigeria (maybe 15 mil live outside the country). And fakes are everywhere. Iran has as many fake jersies as Nigeria does.

Nigeria is one of the poorest countries in the world, no one in pays $90 for a jersey

Well actually Nike is using Iran's flag too for advertising - guess where - on Ronaldo's new mercurial shoes 😂

Actually one of the richest countries in the world, with much oil reserves, but in case of GDP per capita your right

We will always remember how this racist company treated us today, mixing politics and sports against FIFA’s charter
As far as what Iranians think of where someone like you belongs, its actually the place nike comes from (the place is the very same words you used in your above statement)
I am absolutely ashamed of creatures like you calling themselves Iranians
You can go buy their products but you should know you turned your back to your fellow Iranian players by that garbage of a statement
                            Shameful!
                            1. This is not racism, as Iranians are not a race. Furthermore this isn't racism. This is a American business saying they don't want to deal with Iran.

                            2. If you are so worried about mixing politics and sport, a perfect example is when Iran doesn't allow it's athletes to compete with Israel?

                            3. Nike is not a part of FIFA so it doesn't have to do anything with FIFA's charter. It's a private American company.

And yes I am for Iran opening up it's borders to foreign investment and privatization and getting rid of Khodro, which holds back our country. People like you are the ones holding our country back thinking every dumb thing our government does is right.
I could attack you back, but I take a higher approach of actually knowing what I speak off rather just saying a few random words.

Yeah sure, You know what you are talking about, Go back and read your initial comment and see if it was a higher approach,

If you spoke nicer and used better words, maybe I considered to engage with you in a debate exchange rather than telling you how shameful your comment was

I am glad you changed your approach to a higher one
