Nike cannot stop people wear their shoes/clothes etc. Once you pay and buy a nike piece of shit. It belongs to you. You can do whatever you want to do with it. wear it, bin it, burn it, give it away, whatsoever. It no longer belongs to Nike. What their sanction means is that they won't sponsor Iranian team or TM players, i.e. give them money and support.

Pages and pages of speculation and personal opinion without any facts

What has Nike actually said? Where? By whom?

It’s clear that any Iranian can buy American products including Nike and they can use them freely.
The only way Nike can say anything about this is that if they ‘sponsor’ an Iranian player and as part of the sponsorships, they give them custom designed cleats and due to US sanctions they are not continuing with the sponsorship and not providing the customs boots which is fair enough and within their powers

Yes, pages and pages of none-sense. It all started with Amad News (a very fishy "news" outlet) mis-quoting and misrepresenting facts. Unfortunately, we have some members that scour the internet for any negative news, regardless of the reliability of the source, and then post a link.

Yes, for the 100th time, Nike neither has the intention nor the ability to forbid TM players from wearing its shoes. It is just not sponsoring TM like it sponsors other teams. That's all folks.

World Cup Daily: Nike stops supplying boots to Iran, Mo Salah in doubt, Belgium in hot form
            News Corp Australia
            June 12, 2018 5:11am
US sporting goods giant Nike confirmed Monday it had stopped supplying Iran’s football team with boots ahead of the World Cup due to sanctions.
A statement from Nike said the company was forbidden from supplying kit to the Iranian team as it prepares for its opening World Cup game.
“US sanctions mean that, as a US company, Nike cannot supply shoes to players in the Iranian National team at this time,” Nike said.
“Sanctions applicable to NIKE have been in place for many years and are enforceable by law.”
( Iran's Mehdi Taremi (R) celebrates with his teammates Sardar Azmoun (C) and Alireza Jahan Bakhsh after scoring a goal during the World Cup 2018 Asia qualifying against Qatar. Iran has lost its boot supplier in Nike.
An ESPN report from Moscow said the Nike decision had left Iranian football officials baffled, noting that the US company had supplied the team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil when similar sanctions were in effect.
Iran coach Carlos Queiroz expressed frustration at the decision. “Players get used to their sports equipment, and it’s not right to change them a week before such important matches,” ESPN quoted Queiroz as saying.
The ESPN report said Iran’s players had responded to the decision by asking non-Iranian players on their club teams to loan them boots, while others had bought their own from stores.
So our players for now can go and buy their boots from the store and after the games it is a national duty for Iranians everywhere to boycott the shitty Nike. That would be a good few millions customers shitty Nike will lose. I will ask Khamenei to issue a fatva. LOL

The news is simple and significant. Nike flat-out refuses, making official statements, to provide shoes/apparels to our players. This making us the only nation at the World Cup that will not be given apparel by the world's biggest sporting company.

Remember, despite sanctions in 2014, they did not go this far.

Every player has their own set of shoes they prefer - you know this.

I think you are stuck on the semantics of "apparels" when it clearly means shoes in my point above. I even make them synonyms in the point above (shoes/apparels). Even shin pads fall under this category.

Provide some examples and we can see if your statement is true.

All news outlets spew some level of "fake news", however Amadnews does not spew garbage to the level of BBC is currently doing right now. If you think Aamadnews is garbage you must believe BBC is a reeking trash dump.

Amad news and BBC are all part of the same lying monsters.
Zam and Amad news want their etelaati buddies to take over in Iran even more, whereas BBC wants Iran to be torn apart as its masters wish.

For instance, recently Ruhollah Zam claimed that a person by the name of “Rochfield” who owns 65 percent of the Federal Reserve Bank met in Monaco with Fazel Larijani, one of the influential Larijani brothers. According to him, this “Rochfield” wanted to meet with Ayatollah Khamenei’s son Mojtaba, but Mojtaba was wary of travelling to Monaco and had instead sent Fazel Larijani. The purpose of the meeting, said Zam, was to instigate money laundering. But critics say that Zam was probably referring to the prominent banking family the Rothschilds and, in any case, the Federal Reserve is the central bank of the United States and does not have any shareholders.

I just hope some official doesn't ask him to take it off in the tunnel minutes before the game.

No one can stop you from buying and wearing whatever you like. They just won't be given them for free from Nike.
