    Mistake?
Mistake or not can only be judged after WC!

4 years ago, people went mad when Khalatbari was cut, same type of comments here, and after WC people didnt even mention it.

We could have choose him, but we preferred to invite WORLD CLASS players like Amiri, Khanzadeh, Cheshmi, etc...

Kind of hypocritical when CQ say he want to give the youth a chance, then doesn't Arzani.

Sometimes I wonder, you think the mullahs force him to take some players. Isnt Amiri VERY religious? Idk

I think the manager has agendas with some players, can't say for certain unfortunately I'm not behind the scenes

i mean they're the ones that banned Hajsafi and Shojaei, not CQ. so there could be some influence. but how Ghoddos rarely gets playing time is beyond me and is a scary thought. i feel CQ wants him to be a super sub, like AJB last WC. but we all know Ghoddos' quality, he should be in starting XI

i agree, if you poach a player from sweden and dont take him to russia what is the point of inviting him.

Well okay lets do some 2 + 2's here

According to the stats Rozbeh Cheshmi and Khanzadeh have been the best couple in our defense after we qualified. So that leaves rozbeh cheshmi out of the equation

We all know CQ loves both Masoud Shojaei and Ansarifard .

In his last interview when they asked about khanzadeh and seyed jalal he said that he wants young players in our world cup so he'll stay too.

Torabi has played in our world cup qualification matches + in our last 3 friendly matches. So I think he stays too.
Same as Torabi, omid ebrahimi has played in both WCQ matches and Friendlies .

Vahid Amiri stared in almost all of our WQC matches and Friendlies so he deffo stay.

Ali Gholizadeh and Ghodos have been impressive so i seriously doubt they get cut from the team.

Majid Hosseini only 1 game and he was partnered with 2 various people. So my suggestion is that he will be out and cut from the list.
Also Mahdi Taremi could be a candidate too. Way too many FW players for CQ system.

But again nobody is safe with CQ. we have to see who has been performing the best in friendly matches and in practices .

I really think we would be better off without Amiri. We have plenty of attacking quality already, and will have either Ghoddos, Torabi, or Gholilzadeh available off the bench for more. Even Rezaei from the standby list would be better than Amiri

                      Good analysis above ^^

I will say no defenders get cut at all. Every body is needed in case of parking the bus tactics.
One of the wingers or midfielders will surely go.
This cuts it down to Torabi, Amiri, Shojaei, Ansarifard, and even Ghoddos..
Shojaei has been up in age plus ineffective lately and inability to play DM
Ansarifard has been terrible for TM.
                      Amiri sucks as always
Torabi Young and inexperienced. I say Torabi and Gholizadeh stay due to close ties with Ali Daei.
I really believe Shojaei or Ansarifard will get cut now after much thought.

Taremi will make the cut and possibly even start at RW like he did in WCQ

Ansarifard is a safe bet for the final 23. Great season in Greece plus he played a lot of games in TM, and was repeatedly utilized as winger and central midfielder too. Ghoddos certainly in too. Taremi a fixed starter for Morocco.

But we have far too many wingers in the squad. Taremi, Ghoddos, Jahanbakhsh, Torabi, Amiri, Gholizadeh and even Rezaeian or Hajsafi or others can play there too.

So one out of Amiri, Torabi and Gholizadeh has to stay at home. All 3 had a great season. Amiri joined the camp later due to ACL, but he has played in TM more often than the other 2 and was also used as CM a couple of times.

Gholizadeh and Torabi both were among the first to join the camp but while the former might be considered as leftback backup, Torabi cannot be used in any other position and that's why I think he will be the unlucky one this time around.

                          Very valid reasoning.
As i said I wish there was a way to combine the two half!.

BTW. Torabi started at as RB for Omid U23 when Vakia got injured. He did very well and from there He made it to TM.

I was thinking the same about torabi but when i checked the stats I found that torabi has been playing both on left and right. He has also played in our 3 friendly matches. I dono but for me its a soso situation.

My bet is still on Majid hosseini and Taremi ( i know his good but way too much FW players )

My guess is, most probably Taremi. Amiri and Masoud (Unfortunately) could also be candidate.
