ey baba. Who cares? He chose Australia. I don't know why we even open threads relating to this kid anymore.

We need to wipe his name from our collective consciousness and move on.

Techhnically, he is completely Iranian. Iranian parents. Born in Khorramabad, Iran. Lived the first 7 years of his life in Iran.

It’s just that he chose Australia, as that’s where he learnt football. He was also in the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) for most of his youth career. The AIS is FULLY funded by the Australian taxpayer. In a way, he owes it to Australia for giving him the Opportunities he probably would’ve never been given had he stayed in Iran.

Well in an other way you can also say that if it wasnt for Iran he wouldn’t be born.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies.

It was OUR fault we didn’t get him. He literally could have taken a bench seat and not played a second. Think about it, even ghoddos, dejagah, if Iran DIDNT/hadn’t reached out to them, and Sweden and Germany or Sweden did, you think they would have waited for Iran? Not a chance, be real. Give him a break, it’s mostly on us

If he was good enough CQ would pick him, we have plenty of good players that can run him around like a headless chicken

                    For example Delfi

We should focus on our own great players and forget this punk

I don't care for this guy and even less since he already lived for 7! years in Iran... I was just born there, but my love for Iran is endless in any case no matter what..

Guys this is not a competition for which one of us is the biggest iranian or not. The fact remains that he is Australian with Iranian roots. Or you could call him both australian-Iranian. or just australian. No matter what he is the youngest player with Iranian roots at the world cup.

Best of luck to him , he played well in the A League.
He may get a bit of game time but don’t expect him to start in the World Cup.

Australia made a decision to take him so they don’t loose him to Iran.
