You can watch the game and see. I know we have a Saudi hate fetish here - which is OK, I guess if hating is your thing - but their build up play has been real good and they have had real opportunities to score. Their preparation for this tournament has been excellent.

Compared to how TM has played in the last friendlies against much more inferior opponents, I think the difference is stark.

I would be very surprised now after using this line-up for the last game and for the final closed-doors game, if he changes it. Really hope he does though!

I think the only possible change from this is that he may now switch Ansarifard instead of Taremi for the final XI against Morocco as a final card play. We'll see.

I'm genuinely worried about this team as I strongly believe that both Cheshmi and Shojaei will break our compact defensive unit and kill our counters with their lack of speed and anticipation. Really hope I'm wrong though.

I am usually optimistic, but not so much regarding TM's chances this World Cup. I expect 3 loses, wish the boys would prove me wrong but do not think so.

Sardar not scoring with regularity is troublesome. And reading OneFootball's report, seems the boys were real timid and on the defensive against Lithuania.

I guess we have to create this narrative to feel a bit upbeat, but Renard is a fantastic coach and I honestly don't see us holding much wild-cards to disrupt his game plan. Knowing a line up or not is not that important, especially if you have no difference makers. Iran has a couple difference makers and they are for sure starting, and everyone knows it.

There has been a couple of different lineups posted.

I guess we can go with the one you posted. We are so screwed with Cheshmi starting vs. Morocco. CQ's stubbornness regarding players like him, Amiri and Khanzadeh may warrant a reevaluation of whether he is the right coach for us.

And I am a huge CQ fan and try to remain positive.
