He has consistently performed at an poor level. It seems that the only way CQ will see what everyone else is seeing is if Cheshmi screws up again. Short term pain, long term gain.

This will a very good warm-up match indeed because you don't want a tough physically demanding opponent at this stage but some of you calling EVERY freakin' team "good" is starting to become comical.

They're ranked 127th in the world way below India, Kazakhstan and the Philippines for god's sake! They had a single win in WCQ and that was against Malta in Lithuania with single digit temperatures and even then the match was tied until the 76th minute.

I mean, there has to be a standard of what is considered a "good team"... in Asia, those finishing in the top 2 in the last stage are "good teams", in Europe I'd only consider the top 3 excellent or "good teams" with the 4th place finishers average teams, 5th place bad teams and last place absolute crap.

If you want to go by FIFA rankings, top 20 are excellent teams, the next 30 are good teams, 50-100 would be average teams, 100-150 bad teams (which includes the Lithuania and the Maldives) and below 150 (Guam et. al) absolute crap.

Unbelievable it seems if we can't complain we don't have anything to add.
the purpose of this game is to get your players to ran and play at match speed, that is it. it just beats playing against your own guys period.

I want him to make mistakes in a friendly match but of course I wish him the best for the WC.

Well last world cup in one of our friendlies Khanzadeh started (and he didn't get any minutes in the actual world cup). So friendlies are not meaningless but I wouldn't say for sure if Cheshmi will start over Montazeri or Majid Hosseini or whatever. We don't know what CQ is going to do to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised to see Montazeri start in the actual WC over Cheshmi, and I wouldn't be surprised if Cheshmi makes some mistakes again today and still gets the starting role in the WC, and even M Hosseini starting wouldn't surprise me. Who the hell knows lol.

Also, I won't believe the lineup yet cause we saw what happened with the TK game...

Off course in friendly games but in also meaningful important matches.
Cheshmi and other new players learn more now that any other time and yes it is risky but nessecary.
Were Jalal Hosseini, Naderkhani,pashazadeh,Rahman Rezaie or Sohrab Bakhtiarizadeh all
Best defenders over night , did they not make many many mistakes before becoming g great ??
